This team is growing, and we have two positions open on this team for this role
Over the past three years, the DevOps team at Gogo has transformed the way software is built and deployed, and we have far too many success stories to share here
However, our work isn’t even close to being done, and we are looking for someone to join us in delivering the bold objectives required to keep us at the forefront of industry
The ideal candidate for this role will have a solid and practical understanding of cloud environments, build systems, version control, managing, networking, application development, and deploying system at scale

Key responsibilities:
- As part of a team, you will design, develop, deploy and continuously improve enterprise-grade AWS based build and deployment tooling
- You will assist other teams in adopting best build, test and development practices
- Individually and collaboratively, you will identify, adapt, and adopt new technologies
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- You have extensive knowledge of Python, Groovy, or similar language
- You possess a solid understanding of Git
- You are extremely competent in terms of administering Linux systems
- You have demonstrated, practical experience utilizing REST-based APIs in a scripting environment
- You can articulate ideas clearly and concisely
- You have practical experience of continuous build, test, and deployment systems
- You will integrate well with a social and collaborative team
Bonus Skills & Experience
Again, we don’t expect you to have every one of these, but they’re cool to have
- You have experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ELB, IAM, RDS, S3, and ASG
- You have demonstrated experience utilizing Agile/Lean methodologies
- You’ve contributed to open source projects
- You have experience working in a DevOps environment
- You’ve dealt with cloud deployments, containers, and continuous integration
- You have knowledge of the Java programming languages and Java frameworks such as SpringBoot/SpringCloud
- You are familiar with modern approaches to UI tooling and frameworks
- You have experience building and deploying containers ( Docker, Kubernetes)
