We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role DCS – Cloud Service Manager
In this role, you will:
- Provide overall service performance of the Digital Cloud platform services
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on the health of the cloud platforms including performance, capacity, and compliance reporting
- Work with the wider DCIS service team for incident and problem management
- Monitor service performance and identify areas for improvement to enhance scalability, availability, and security
- Review service impacting incidents to ensure corrective actions are implemented to avoid future outages and co-ordinate post incident reviews for major incidents
- Maintain a view of service costs for cloud platforms and working with SRE/Cloud Engineers/Architects to optimise costs and support the prioritisation of work for the Site Reliability Engineering team
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in a Service Management role within cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services
- Ability to build strong relationships with Cloud Services, Application DevOps, cross functional IT, and global/local IT teams
- Demonstrable experience of working in a DevOps/Agile environment
- Understanding of core Amazon Web Services concepts and capabilities such as infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, databases ( RDS, DynamoDB) and VPC configurations
