Job Summary:
- Internship position in Data Science & Quant Research to assist in development of innovative financial products & services across various Anchorage product verticals
Role Description:
- Conduct research and development of statistical and quantitative models to support various Anchorage business lines
- Work with the engineering and data science teams to develop & deploy ideas from start to finish
- Effectively communicate research work and product designs effectively across organization and to management
Qualifications:
- You’re currently studying (BS/MS/PhD) in a quantitative discipline: ex
Physics, Math, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- You’re comfortable in computational computing environments: ex
Python (pandas, numpy, sklearn, pytorch) SQ, and cloud computing
- You’re experienced with mathematical computing tools: e
x
Julia, Matlab, R a plus
- You understand econometric modeling techniques (such as: OLS, WLS, logit), and are are familiar with advanced statistical learning techniques and deep learning
- You have a solid understanding or excitement of probabilistic reasoning and thinking of practical data problems
Bonus Points:
- You have experience taking computational or modeling problems from concept to deployment in school, previous employment
- You understand (and are interested in) financial markets, financial products, and digital asset technologies
- You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system
