Co-Head, Capital Formation

Pantera Capital, a blockchain focused investment firm is seeking a Co-Head of Capital Formation
The position will be responsible for managing our Capital Formation group
The role will be focused on marketing our funds through the entire marketing process, including digital marketing, meeting and discussing our funds with engaged prospects, and overseeing data collection and management of the firms existing and potential investors

Responsibilities:

    • Drive all fund marketing activities including building messaging for fund strategies, mapping out prospect landscape, managing the pipeline, and selling products to accredited and institutional investors
    • In-depth understanding of the Pantera strategies and the underlying dynamics of the asset class
    • Ability to stay up to date on the latest trends in crypto to become a sophisticated thought-partner to prospective investors
    • Understanding and oversight of the existing marketing process, including digital marketing strategy
    • Manage and oversee the Capital Formation group, effectively prioritizing and allocating resources to the highest value-add opportunities
    • Oversee the data collection process to ensure data is accurate and captured in a timely manner
    • Strategize with management and internal staff to increase engagement and improve marketing processes
    • Liaise with the firm's partners on fund messaging and marketing strategy

Qualifications:

    • 15+ years of Business Development, Capital Formation or Investor Relations experience, with experience in a lead role overseeing business development and selling to institutions
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with a history of success in cultivating strong internal and external relationships and collaborating cross-functionally within a complex investment management firm
    • Process-driven approach to relationship selling
      Experience systematically managing and refilling a pipeline of prospects
    • Deep understanding of private equity, venture capital and hedge funds with experience discussing investment strategies, complex fund structures and operational aspects on an investment management firm
    • Experience managing a small group at an investment management firm, preferably related to investor relations, marketing and investor communications
    • Team player who can work collaboratively, but willing to “roll-up” sleeves to get the job done
      Ability to mentor and coach junior team members
    • Extensive knowledge of digital marketing platforms and data management systems to increase efficiencies
    • High degree of intellectual curiosity with exceptional work ethic, attention-to-detail and can-do/will-do attitude

Other Requirements:

    • Experienced CRM user
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint
    • Degree from top school and/or other relevant professional accreditation
