Anchorage Digital

Portugal

At Anchorage we are building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto

Founded in 2017, Anchorage Digital is a regulated crypto platform that provides institutions with integrated financial services and infrastructure solutions
With the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US, Anchorage offers institutions an unparalleled combination of secure custody, regulatory compliance, product breadth, and client service
We’re looking to diversify our team with people who are humble, creative, and eager to learn
We are a remote-first, global team, but provide the option of working in-office in San Francisco, New York City, Indianapolis, Sioux Falls, Porto, and Singapore
The team you’ll work with

The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to provide a robust infrastructural foundation to promote reliability, scalability, performance and developer velocity at Anchorage
This team owns various infrastructure components including cloud infrastructure ( gke, terraform), continuous integration and testing, continuous delivery/deployment
The impact

This is a force-multiplier development role that allows a developer to have an impact broadly across Anchorage engineering
Internal developers will appreciate a well functioning build pipeline that allows them to get their code to production smoothly
The business and Anchorage customers will appreciate a reliable, secure runtime infrastructure as that is a core competency of the Anchorage ecosystem and value proposition
The role has cross-team exposure which allows for interesting work and professional growth

The problems you'll solve

    • Design and build a globally distributed hybrid-infrastructure with an emphasis on high stakes security and correctness
    • Manage GCP while maintaining secure channels with our on-prem data centers
    • Leverage the following methodologies/tech: Reverse uptime, tamper-resistant ledgers, air-gapped infrastructure, secure execution environments, repeatable builds, container orchestration, and infra-as-code
    • Review code across the entire stack and engineering organization while actively participating in product development
    • Find the right balance between progress (eg shipping quickly) and perfection (eg measuring twice)
    • Foster an efficient deterministic testing culture, with an emphasis on minimizing tech debt and bureaucracy
    • Work on the front lines of the blockchain/crypto movement and SecOps innovation

You may be a fit for this role if

You have experience with one of the major cloud providers (ideally GCP and/or AWS) and config management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc
You care deeply about correctness, security, code quality, and test infrastructure
You enjoy programming, infra-as-code, monitoring, and automation
Although not a requirement, bonus points if

You feel comfortable diving down the stack and into open source projects to root cause a bug
In your mind the word “crypto” stands for cryptography, not cryptocurrency
You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system
🙂Tech stack

:While experience with specific languages isn’t a requirement our stack is the below
Big Data Tech

: BigQuery, Looker, Python, AirflowBackend Tech:

Go, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP, REST and GraphQL
Engineering methodologies:

Reverse uptime, cryptographically linked data models, air gapped infrastructure, secure execution environments, and infra-as-code
