Sr. UX Researcher – US Based

Requirements

  • US-Based, Atlanta, GA preferred, Eastern Time Zone

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end user research tasks from planning, design, reporting to visualization for agile product teams 
  • Define the overall user experience strategy and adapt to the specifics of the product initiatives    
  • Translate research findings into design artifacts, including personas, journey maps, mindsets, service blueprints, and wireframes
  • Build and foster strong relationships across the organization by being the subject matter expert in human-centered design and user experience research
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand short-term & long-term product needs
  • Identify key research questions and appropriate research methods for various business and product problems
  • Design and conduct research independently using mixed methods, including but not limited to ethnographies, surveys, heuristic walkthroughs, usability tests, concept and prototype evaluation, co-creation, and design workshops
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including product teams, business leaders, and process owners to improve products and services
  • Drive collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Conduct secondary research to understand business needs and research opportunities
  • Document and aggregate generative research findings and proactively communicate with the larger organization

Skills:

  • Ability to empathize with customer needs and develop actionable insights
  • Strong visual design, storytelling, and presentation skills required
  • Has a holistic understanding and ability to assess the competitive landscape in an experience-first mindset 
  • Thinks creatively, strategically and can make sound business decisions taking into account the opinions of multiple partners 
  • Comfortable with, or excited to learn about a variety of research methods: in-depth interviews, ethnographic/field research, surveys and more
  • Self-starter, highly organized and able to work at a fast-moving environment
  • Highly capable of managing multiple work streams within deadlines
  • Egoless, collaborative team player
  • A background in ethnography or anthropology is helpful
