About the role

Our client is looking for a UI designer that is self-motivated and possesses a positive attitude, that relishes in the craft of design systems, interface designs, icon systems, animations/ transitions, micro-transactions and crafting clickable prototypes
The designer has the responsibility and accountability to influence the visual expression of a brand through the expectations of that brand and its users

You will combine your product/UI skills and visual marketing savvy to elevate their digital brand and design system
Your focus will be on crafting delightful experiences by creating a cohesive, engaging and seamless journeys for their customer
You have an eye for quality and consistently push the boundaries of what digital design can be
You think about design systems, not just individual pages or embellishments

Responsibilities

– Defines and evangelizes Albertsons’ visual language system throughout the organization and creates documentation to ensure correct usage and implementation
– Champion the visual evolution of their visual language for their digital platforms with a focus on scalability and consistency- Define and execute design vision for on-site/app marketing efforts supporting internal merchandising strategies and sponsored content
- Elevate UI designs for multiple projects across the design team- Proficiency in producing “pixel perfect” design files- Manage and prioritize a workload on multiple projects from concept to completion- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that we are solving the right problem, the right way- Push the team to explore new thinking and expand new interpretations of their digital brand

Requirements

– 4+ years of experience working on a wide range of UX/UI projects, from idea to completion- Excellent understanding of layout, typography, color, photography usage, and other design principles
- Has a solid understanding of brand identities or has created/worked on them in the past- Understands digital marketing and advertising- Experience working on a variety of projects such as UI design, brand identity, guidelines/documentation, and end-to-end user experiences

– Expert knowledge in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite- Possesses strong presentation skills and excels at communicating design concepts to non-design stakeholders (internal and client)
- Experience prototyping to communicate interaction design and motion- Has a startup mentality, is comfortable working in ambiguity and is not afraid to embrace change- Is a self-starter who can provide leadership to multiple projects with minimal oversight- Bonus points (but not required) if you have illustration skills!
