As a Chainalysis Investigator, you’ll measure your success by your impact on our customers’ mission and the execution and expansion of investigation support at our key customers
Investigators collaborate closely with sales, training, research, and engineering to meet client technical and functional requirements
You’ll deliver executive briefings, translate complex requirements into an organized workflow, and demonstrate our product capabilities to customers
You may also attend industry events and trade-shows, acting as an ambassador for Chainalysis’ mission of building trust in blockchains
When not in front of a client, you are using our tools and data to develop insights on illicit activity trends in crypto and its impact on DOD customers

- Provided technical advice and investigative/analytic support for extremely difficult, complex, technical, and highly sensitive investigations and initiatives pertaining to cryptocurrencies
- Demonstrated your program and resource-management skills as an emerging leader on the team
- Become a sought-after and trusted advisor to investigators, analysts, and leadership within your assigned account and provide training and guidance to other investigators and analysts
- Reviewed the adequacy and completeness of investigations and the data collection methods to determine the authenticity, veracity, and pertinence of that data resulting in more thorough investigations or analytic assessments
- Prepared in-depth summaries of data from extensive research and analysis to set forth recommendations for investigations, lead follow up, and potential risks that could hamper an investigation that have led to meaningful results related to the customer’s mission
- Proactively identified areas where customer needs and Chainalysis products and services align; developed a roadmap to assist DOD customers with developing their capabilities
- Demonstrated an advanced ability to present investigative conclusions, provide training, and engage in strategic discussions with DOD customers
- Received the Chainalysis Reactor Certification and the Chainalysis Investigations Specialist Course certification and can expertly navigate open-source blockchain analytic tools

- Prior experience within DOD or supporting DOD customers
- Intelligence analysis or equivalent forensic experience related to dark web, counter-terrorism, financial crime, cryptocurrency tax, insider threat, and/or drug enforcement investigations or technical analysis Â
- Insatiable curiosity about cryptocurrencies and the growing marketÂ
- Ability to travel on an ad-hoc basis (4-6 times a year on average); there are occasionally international travel requirements
