About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Social Media to lead our social media team and drive social media strategies for the agency and our clients
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Social Media will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies across all major platforms
This leadership position requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, team management, and social media expertise to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and growth for both traditional and web3 focused companies
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for our agency and our clients, aligned with overall marketing objectives and target audience insights
    • Lead the development of social media calendars, content plans, and campaigns to ensure consistent and engaging social media presence
    • Collaborate with the Creative Director, VP of Marketing and other department heads to integrate social media strategies into overall marketing initiatives
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and mentor the social media team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence
    • Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members, providing guidance and support to achieve them
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the social media team, including content creation, community management, and analytics
  • Social Media Content Creation:
    • Oversee the creation of compelling and engaging social media content, including written posts, visuals, videos, and other multimedia assets
    • Ensure that the social media content aligns with brand messaging, tone, and creative guidelines for both our agency and our clients
  • Social Media Advertising and Paid Campaigns:
    • Collaborate with the Paid Social Media team members to plan and execute paid social media campaigns that align with marketing objectives
    • Optimize social media ad performance, monitor budgets, and use data-driven insights to maximize ROI
  • Analytics and Performance Tracking:
    • Utilize social media analytics and insights to track performance, measure KPIs, and provide regular reports to stakeholders
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance social media strategies
  • Client and Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for social media clients, understanding their objectives and requirements, and providing excellent customer service
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful execution of social media strategies
  • Social Media Trends and Industry Insights:
    • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices
    • Incorporate emerging social media trends and innovations into our agency’s and clients’ social media strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
    Advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in social media management for global/enterprise clients, with a track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a social media team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and advertising strategies
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making and optimize social media performance
  • Experience in managing social media for both B2B and B2C clients is a plus
  • A passion for social media, digital marketing, and the creative agency landscape
  • Familiarity with the web3 community and industry at large

Minimum Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing, communications, or social media leadership role, preferably with agency experience
