Inventory Control Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Audit of existing procedures, inventory, and records to ensure compliance and accuracy
     
  • Recommend improvements as needed for compliance and best practices
     
  • Coordinate across all team functions on site
     
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
     
  • Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
     
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
     
  • Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
     
  • Correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
     
  • Contact carrier representatives to plan or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
     

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • 2+ years experience in an Inventory role or a similar position   
  • Excellent computer skills  
  • Demonstrated experience with digital filing systems and records management   
  • Experience in emailing, word processing, and producing spreadsheets and presentations   
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is considered an asset   
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

  • Ability to travel to and from the job site is required   
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:   

Helios facility in West Texas
The facility is 125,000 sq ft data center/warehouse which experiences the extreme West Texas weather depending on the season
The role requires climbing, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting 50 pounds in a repetitive and ongoing nature
There is a potential for loud noises and use of technology such as scanners, laptop, and iPhone
Working hours are normally M-F with overtime on nights and weekends as needed
   

The base salary ranges included below are for Texas- based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience and expertise
Base salary ranges for candidates in other locations other than Texas may differ based on the cost of labor in that location
Base salary range: starting at $25 per hour
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below
