Pantera Capital is hiring an Investment Analyst for our San Francisco office to focus on early-stage investment opportunities in both venture and early-stage tokens
As an Associate, you will learn about the venture capital and hedge fund industries, meet inspiring founders, and get exposure to cutting-edge projects
At Pantera, your days will be spent sourcing, analyzing, and evaluating Pantera’s next investment opportunities

    • Sourcing: proactively identifying new investment opportunities and qualifying inbound leads for the firm;
    • Deal Diligence: helping the team evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, product reviews, competitive analysis, metrics analysis, customer/user reviews and technical diligence
      The Investment Analyst will focus on the target company's financial condition by reviewing and understanding company documentation, loan documents, financial statements, etc
    • Portfolio Work: collaborating with the team to provide quantitative and qualitative financial support for the Pantera Capital portfolio
    • Review investment documents, build financial models and perform valuation analyses; Conduct quarterly valuation for portfolio companies, calculate fund returns and analyze financial performance;
    • Monitor, track, and analyze the investment's performance, aiming to maximize investment performance at the portfolio and fund levels while working closely with senior team members
    • Share with the team presentations and visualizations of the performance of the fund, and individual investment positions

Requirements

    • Required Education: Master Degree in Finance or closely related fields
    • Required License: No

    • Minimum of 9 months of demonstrated experience in financial data analysis
    • Minimum of 9 months of demonstrated experience in financial modeling and report building
    • Minimum of 9 months of demonstrated experience analyzing financial statements and developing financial projections
    • Minimum of 9 months of demonstrated experience managing database by analyzing and processing data sets (including data analysis, data visualization, and data integration) using Excel and other software
    • Minimum of 9 months of demonstrated experience in conducting in-depth market research
    • Minimum 9 months of experience using statistical programming languages (, R, Python)
    • Demonstrated understanding of crypto, digital collectibles, and blockchain technology
