Associate/VP level opening in our London office to join our growing and dynamic legal entity control team

Role responsibilities:

    • Preparation, analysis, review and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to senior management, directors, and other key stakeholders under IFRS
    • Preparation and analysis of financial statements, including resolving technical accounting issues and disclosure requirements, and liaising with external auditors
    • Preparation and review of the regulatory reports/filings to various regulators
    • Proactively seeking opportunities to improve our workflows, technology, and integrity of reporting information with a strong automation mindset 
    • Take full ownership and become the subject matter expert for trading legal entities
    • Understanding the business and strategy of your entities, keeping up-to-date with business and market developments and communicating this effectively to key stakeholders
    • Coordination with multiple teams across the firm – and across the globe – including trading, product control, ops, treasury, risk and FP&A in a collaborative and problem-solving capacity
    • Involvement in a broad range of department–wide projects and initiatives as well as cross-departmental initiatives

Your Qualifications/Attributes:

    • ACCA or an equivalent qualification 
    • 5 to 7 years of post qualification experience in controller role in finance
      Exposure to derivatives/securities/commodities trading environment is a must  
    • Exposure to regulatory reporting is an added advantage
    • Working knowledge of Python, SQL and/or VBA (preferable)
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Commercial acumen and good eye for detail
    • Good communication and team player
