Position overview

We’re looking for a Product Owner – Wealth Management who will lead the creation of this proposition from the ground up. Your goal will be to drive the successful launch of the new proposition, enhance and manage the product, customer experience and roadmap. The proposition should be seamless, intuitive and attractive to our customers. You will work tightly with a team consisting of designers, developers and iteration lead. The team will align the dependencies with other teams to optimise product delivery. We will agree on clear sets of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to help drive priorities and achieving goals. Among other responsibilities, you will gather feature requests and requirements gathering, facilitate stakeholder engagement, plan releases and coordinate sprints. 

Although we are headquartered in Gibraltar, this is a full-time, 100% remote position. Work from anywhere!

Vision

  • Getting under the skin of the customer’s needs, product purpose and business challenge.
  • Have a clear view of the product vision but also proficient in mapping the iterative strategy to grow the product
  • Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders from discovery, design through execution and implementation;
  • Be the expert and central point of contact on wealth management;
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements to existing features;
  • Assess opportunities, understand behaviour and test hypotheses using data analysis and discovery.

Product backlog

  • Work closely with the team and VP of Product to create and maintain a product backlog according to customer requirements and business value/ ROI;
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product;
  • Set Sprint goals, track, and report on sprint progress;
  • Facilitate conversations between the Business and Technology stakeholders to determine the “what” and the “how” of product features; and
  • Cooperate and lead cross-functional teams if needed with a variety of internal groups as well as with external partners, primarily vendor/ platform partners, to identify new technical requirements and solutions, or to solve technical issues.

Oversee and manage development stages

  • Participate  in cross-functional teams as the Product Owner;
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of  specified and refined requirements to work on;
  • Work with iteration lead to remove or mitigate impediments to the team progress;
  • Ensure the successful completion of Releases and Sprint Goals;
  • Plan, execute and monitor UAT; and
  • Document new product features and systems.

Evaluate product progress

  • Monitor the product and the platforms’ performance, proactively identify process bottlenecks and lead initiatives to resolve discrepancies or other issues when identified, track and report issues through to resolution;
  • Recommend and execute operational improvements, work with appropriate functional areas to simplify the way we do business and create a better customer experience;and
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new features and capabilities.

Research

  • Build knowledge on industry developments, provider landscape and regulatory changes, to become the go-to person for all things Wealth Management related at Xapo;
  • Be knowledgeable of competitors in the Wealth Management sector;

Requirements

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 5+ years;
  • Strong working experience as a Product Owner for a Wealth Management product
  • University bachelor degree;
  • Experience shipping market-leading products in a fast-growing fintech and/or payments company as Product Owner is essential;
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities with competing timelines;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven experience driving product and business decisions;
  • Team-oriented and demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves and get into the weeds of a project;
  • Strong technical background and demonstrable business analysis skill set;
  • Extensive experience of working within a product delivery environment;
  • Direct experience of delivering digital products to customers;
  • Experience working within a development team and a customer experience design team on a daily basis;
