This role is instrumental in keeping Kraken compliant with global sanction requirements and in helping mitigate the AML/CFT/Sanctions risk for the company

Responsibilities

    • Consistently make appropriate decisions regarding potential sanction/watchlist matches with accurate documentation of analysis and escalation to appropriate parties when necessary
    • Represent the company as a professional compliance expert with all parties, internal and external
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide support for Client Engagement teams on sanction/watchlist related issues
    • Manage various inboxes and provide timely responses to all stakeholders
    • Perform due sanctions reviews/investigations on customers, partners, vendors as required
    • Develop and maintain periodic reports for various business functions
    • Communicate effectively to coordinate cross-functional projects
    • Identify and develop workflow efficiencies

Requirements

    • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
    • 6+ years experience in a sanctions compliance role at a financial institution, crypto firm, or equivalent
    • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/team lead role
    • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
    • Ability to take ownership of work product and consistently deliver results
    • Adaptability to global business needs
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment
