Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, develop, and conduct research activities, ensuring the right methods are applied
- End-to-end ownership with all aspects of the UX research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating)
- Broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and deep expertise in their application
- Collaborate with product, business stakeholders, designers, developers, and data team to propose recommendations, ensuring both qualitative & quantitative data are used to define and solve both business and user problems
- Conduct preliminary investigations and competitor analysis, to identify appropriate research methods relevant to the situation, and execute appropriate research methods to inform design and product solutions
- Synthesize and communicate research findings to inform business decisions and product strategy through appropriate mediums including presentations, reports, and workshops
- Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations to the stakeholders
- Building and maintaining UX Research roadmaps that influence product strategy through close partnership with Product Owners
- Benchmark the user experience and engagement within our product over time
- Shape a product strategy grounded in user insights
- Sound understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles
- Represents user research across the organization
- Communicating and updating product metrics to ensure data-driven decision making

- Ability to understand what problems teams and the business are trying to solve and align user research activities to inform decision making and action
- Experience managing research projects in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Strong storytelling skills and an ability to frame insights into compelling narratives
- Track record of translating research insights into business impact
- Experience in conducting research in digital products
Other requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with cross-cultural products and international research
- Experience designing and facilitating engaging and impactful workshops (for stakeholders and/or research participants)
- A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (: study plans, reports, and data visualizations)
- Exceptional behavioural data-collection and analysis skills, (, designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data)
- Experience working within agile product development and SCRUM environments
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle a plus
