We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated engineer to help us build the next generation of financial products
This role’s primary focus will be on the Uniswap Wallet suite of products, which consists of as well as our new browser extension
Our products live in a monorepo and are built using React Native for Web to enable maximal code sharing between them
As a Staff Engineer at Uniswap, you will be expected to drive a large degree of impact by being involved in multiple key projects, exemplify engineering excellence, and be a strong source of mentorship for more junior engineers
You will be responsible for ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across these interfaces and will have the ability to influence the creation, design, and execution of future products and features
Responsibilities
- Work across client, server, architecture, and infrastructure that powers our wallet products
- Take charge of driving strategic technical initiatives across engineering pods that impact the entire engineering organization
- Play a leading technical role in multiple large, impactful projects
- Rapidly implement functional UI elements from design mocks, with an eye toward performance and accessibility and ensure that components are functional, elegant, and performant
- Know when to create abstractions vs
one-off features - Provide mentorship and feedback to other engineers on the team through both code and design doc reviews
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- A deep understanding of the architecture of modern client-side React Native applications
- Proven individual contributor or previously a Tech Lead with experience planning and leading end to end large projects with long-term impact on one or more systems or a team
- Familiarity with the web3 frontend stack (, , )
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience working fullstack
- A desire to keep up with modern best practices in web/mobile development
Nice to Have
- Experience in native mobile (, Swift, Kotlin)
- Experience with React Native for Web
- Degree in computer science
- Prior experience creating a design system or component library
- Love for unicorns 🙂
