Who You Are:
You are an experienced Business Development professional with a passion for cryptocurrency and digital assets
You have at least five years of relevant experience, with at least two years in the digital assets space, and a deep understanding of the ecosystem and key players
You are also an expert on traditional financial products, trading strategies, with a penchant for building deep and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
This position will be physically located in the Bahamas, where the company’s affiliate, Galaxy Bahamas Limited, is registered under the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Act
What You’ll Do:
- Provide full support to the global Galaxy Strategic Opportunities team, working directly in the Galaxy Bahamas office to build and manage Galaxy client relationships
- Work alongside all relevant internal teams to bring deals to conclusion, including, but not limited to: Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Trading, Engineering, and more
- Support directly on deal execution, product structuring, sales and trading businesses, and research relating to digital asset counterparties, including, but not limited to: financial institutions, cryptocurrency companies, token Foundations, DeFi protocols, staking services and more
- Identify and execute on new opportunities, with primary focus on building and maintaining structured deal pipeline on Market Making and Liquidity Provision
- Spearhead structured deal flow end-to-end including modeling, structuring, validation, risk assessment and execution related to products, tokens and various other financial structures in the cryptocurrency markets
- Participate in the company’s overall business development; accompany team members to meet with clients and further evaluate offerings, assist in resolving issues, and identify any areas of opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years Business Development and/or Sales experience, with at least 2 years working directly in the digital assets industry
- Expertise in traditional financial products and complete trade life cycles
- Deep understanding of accounting, finance, tax, legal, regulatory considerations
- An outgoing individual with a strong work ethic and great attention to detail
- Prior experience in managing a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and multitask
- Self-starter with a strong desire to improve processes and continue building out Galaxy’s global presence and reach
- Able to work effectively in a globally-distributed team environment; exquisite communication skills and executive presence a must
- Deep passion for and interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
- An understanding of the protocol and blockchain development lifecycle
Bonus Points:
- Direct prior experience in algorithmic trading, market making, portfolio management
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce and others)
- Experience interacting directly with DeFi, smart contracts, other crypto applications
