Coinbase Germany is looking for a Product Portfolio Manager to manage the feature rollout process (“New Product Process – NPP”) and digital asset listing process for Coinbase Germany GmbH. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations (Germany)  and working closely with senior management in Germany and EU. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all new feature and digital asset rollouts for Coinbase Germany Gmbh.

This position will play a crucial role in meeting our regulatory obligations in Germany.   • Manage the feature rollout process and digital asset listing process to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain complete documentation of the NPP and digital asset listing processes

  • Advise senior product and local management on the implications of feature rollouts
  • Potential to grow to an EU level task in due course

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that animation direction is followed, and has a strong aesthetic eye and a solid understanding of AA+ game production. Skills & Requirements

The Operations Associate, Germany will be responsible for working closely with the European management team and international working group to develop and execute on our German and broader European go-to-market strategy and grow the international business. About the position:

  • You’ll support the team with determining the legitimacy of treasury applications and deliverables of grantees. By reviewing documentation and quickly understanding different (technology) stacks, you’ll decide whether all requirements have been met.

  • Work with Coinbase Tax and external tax advisors to ensure all required filings are completed accurately and on time

Director of Digital Asset Finance

Flipside Crypto is a rapidly-scaling startup servicing the web3 ecosystem, including embarking upon substantial investment in DAOs and other crypto-native organizations. We are hiring a Digital Assets Finance Director on our team to handle all things related to the Flipside Crypto balance sheet, including digital and fiat assets, as well as the DAOs we provide services for, starting with MetricsDAO.

This is an exciting, high priority new role, where you will have the opportunity to tackle future-facing problems in digital finance. The successful candidate will have real experience in the digital assets space, and must also have deep experience in managing finance, treasury, and investor relations processes. Ideal candidates have experience in crypto ecosystems and assets, crypto finance and treasury activities, as well as basic corporate finance activities.

Reporting to the CFO and as part of a small, entrepreneurial team you will work closely with members of the entire Flipside organization to leverage your full range of strategic, financial, analytical and creative skills to achieve our business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Alongside the Digital Treasury Manager (who will report to this role), grow and evolve Flipsides’s treasury discipline, which includes an expanding portfolio of L1 tokens, protocol tokens, stablecoins, and fiat currencies.
  • With the CFO, prepare strategic views on how to optimize our digital asset returns and liquidity with specific risk and return guardrails, then execute on those strategies to achieve return and liquidity targets.
  • Be the key connection point between the Flipside Finance team, our partner ecosystem finance partners, our Governance team and ecosystem partners, our Treasury Committee, and similar stakeholders.
  • Build and drive investor relations function, especially with our growing focus on DAOs, their treasuries, and related processes.
  • Manage the production of payments, reporting, data for accounting, and related processes related to our entire digital asset portfolio.
  • Build and strengthen the tracking, analyzing and reporting on treasury KPIs and insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • With the CFO, continue to evolve and strengthen our digital asset key management security protocols and tools.
  • Support relevant efforts related to financial due diligence, finance Board decks and other communications with investors.
  • A variety of other ad-hoc projects and analyses, as needed by the CFO and other exec team members.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in crypto ecosystems: experience trading, swapping, bridging, working with teams at chains, protocols, and projects, and operating as a crypto-native senior finance leader on the team.
  • Experience managing asset liquidity and related treasury functions, produced as a result of all trading and other strategic activities.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a high-growth environment.
  • Leadership experience. While this role will initially have one direct report, the team likely grows over time as we evolve and grow.
  • High comfort with evolving and managing digital asset security keys and multi-signature protocols for different assets across multiple chains and wallet types.
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing software and tooling for treasury and cash management purposes, especially for digital assets.
  • Experience preparing materials for and presenting to investors, board members, bankers, and other institutional partners and external stakeholders.

    • Experience implementing and/or building out a AML or KYC compliance framework as it pertains to FFIs/FCBs, including creating and implementing relevant policies and procedures, training, etc.
    • Knowledge of relevant BSA/AML and sanctions regulations for banks and other highly regulated financial institutions
    • Experience interacting with senior management, regulators, or other internal stakeholders to present on updates for the program

Your role:

  • Own, review and update the KYC procedure in accordance with any updates to the AML Policy in a timely manner.
  • Own, review and update all L1 compliance tools that drives the KYC processes including SOPs, CRR Tools, Forms for onboarding/ maintenance/ periodic reviews, and any other tools essential for the L1 compliance team to conduct BAU work.
  • Oversees and manage the entire Client Life-Cycle Process (onboarding, trigger events, Periodic review, offboarding) across various client types (Corporates, Retail individuals, HNWI).
  • Liaise with relationship managers / Compliance Department for issues and deficiencies identified during review and act as the key decision maker and facilitator to resolve these issues via action plans.
  • Work with Business and Compliance (Line 2) to ensure report submission is of high AML quality and account is opened within the SLA.
  • Keep KYC unit updated on the latest procedural / policy changes and processes to address questions, issue guidance & facilitate coordination with Compliance and Lines of Business and conduct trainings
  • Conduct remediation & enhancement projects to patch regulatory gaps and address key system deficiencies.
  • Point of escalation and Subject matter expert for all matters relating to L1 Compliance
  • Work closely with MLRO to lead and/or participate in Compliance related projects.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Senior management
  • Reports directly to the CEO with functional reporting line to MLRO
  • Manage a team of 4-8 based in SG and VN.

Our expectations:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in KYC is mandatory which includes the below:
    • Deep understanding of CDD / EDD requirements for various client types (Corporates, Retails, Trust, Partnerships etc)
    • Well versed in Escalations and Approval protocols.
    • Understanding of various risk factors and its impact (CRR, PEP assessment, Materiality assessment, ID&V requirements, acceptable documentation, SOW, SOF, etc)
    • Understanding the differences between differing requirements across various jurisdictions.
    • Good understanding of MAS requirements.
  • Manage Line 1 risk
  • Ability to give clear direction and manage a team.
  • Experience in managing projects relating to KYC / Remediation efforts is a plus point
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance & Banking or equivalent fields
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulatory requirements / KYC related topics
  • Accuracy, diligence and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
