Galaxy Ventures interns come from many backgrounds, from STEM to the social sciences. Generally, Ventures interns fall into particular personas that drive their work.

Focus Areas of Crypto

Despite the nascent nature of crypto, there are numerous focus areas that you can specialize in. Every day people realize the intersection of new fields with blockchain, such as generative art to network contagion, group dynamics to zero-knowledge proofs. This list is not exhaustive.

  • NFTs – nonfungible tokens, aka digital collectibles
  • DeFi – financial applications on a blockchain
  • Virtual Machines / languages – what smart contracts are written in
  • Consensus – how blockchains run
  • Governance/coordination mechanisms – how to update decentralized applications

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct diligence on investment opportunities alongside Investment Partners.
    • Write investment memos that justify an investment and note its risks..
    • Analyze financial metrics and performance.
    • Study technological mechanisms and compare/contrast.
    • Evaluate legal agreements.
    • Evaluate founders, executives, and team.
  • Source new investment opportunities through personal network, reach outs, and interaction with the community.
  • Develop coherent theses and predictions about market, and identity companies, protocols, and web3 applications which suit the thesis.
  • Technical candidates: write Solidity code, demo portfolio company technology, and analyze codebases.

Senior Product Manager – Web3 Infrastructure

THE ROLE

As the Senior Product Manager for MoonPay’s Web3 Infrastructure products, you’ll work in the Web3 Group and report into our Group Product Manager for Web 3. You’ll drive the product roadmap and execution for our core Web3 Infrastructure products. In this role you will directly contribute to leading MoonPay to become a leading player in the Web3 infrastructure space.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of best-in-class Blockchain, dApp, Web3.0 tooling to support developers, small creators, current partners and large enterprises to enable their Web 3.0 creator economy visions
  • Be ahead of the curve on where the Web 3.0 space is heading. Understand market alternatives to our product capabilities to validate our direction or to make changes accordingly
  • Define and execute against product KPI’s, communicating progress weekly
  • Research and scope opportunities to help our customers succeed
  • Define, articulate,  and execute the strategy and roadmap for product adoption
  • Write product requirements that clearly articulate the problem, it’s impact, and what we can do to solve it
  • Partner with internal teams to document and communicate the capabilities of our products internally and externally
  • Help to facilitate and produce OKR and QBR materials to present to executive leadership.

YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in a technical background is preferred: engineering, technical product management, or similar
  • Experience building and going to market with developer tools, products and services
  • Experience defining and driving product strategies, including ruthless prioritization
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical direction for products, systems, or platforms of scale
  •  Interest and certain experience/knowledge in/about the Web3 space. Process, business understanding and first hand experience with Web 3.0, blockchain, smart contracts, NFTs, DeFi, DAOs, and other crypto-native technologies
  • Ability to create best-in-class tech interfaces that simplify complexity
  •  Technical skills or demonstrated ability to gain an in-depth understanding of software systems to make meaningful contributions to high-stakes discussion on data modeling or software architecture

Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated engineer to help us build the next generation of financial products. As a dedicated mobile hire, you will have the ability to influence the creation, design, and execution of future products. 
 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Work cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and other engineers to design & create high quality mobile products 
  • Implement functional UI elements from design mocks, with an eye toward performance and accessibility
  • Know when to create abstractions vs. one-off features
  • Ensure product stability through testing and development best practices

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Degree in CS, related field, or equivalent computer science knowledge 
  • Passion for creating user-facing products that entail delightful user experience 
  • Experience in native iOS, native Android, or React Native

Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated engineer to help us build the next generation of financial products. As a founding data infrastructure engineer, you will build and maintain our data infrastructure tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain our data pipelines and data infrastructure technologies
  • Participate in discussions from the initial product ideas to launch

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience across Java/Scala, Typescript, or similar

Content Creator

We are looking for a Content Creator to write and publish various types of pieces for our company’s web pages, like articles, ebooks and social media posts.

 

Content Creator responsibilities include producing marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics and promoting our content on social media. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business. IT Specialist (Contract – 3 Months)

We are looking for a IT Specialist (3-month Contract) to work out of our new Soho NYC HQ Office. This individual will be responsible for the performance of the IT infrastructure and services in the Soho office location (must be willing to be onsite). 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and audio-visual technology
  • Troubleshoot issues in order to diagnose and identify solutions
  • Manage Tech Support tickets generated through ticketing system, seeing solutions through in a comprehensive timely manner
  • Connects with staff to build appropriate rapport; best understanding the needs, expectations, and requirements to achieve a high level of service and excellent employee experience
  • Maintains current knowledge of technological trends and news relevant to hardware, software, training, and processes
  • Communicate and work with Engineering team to escalate advanced issues
  • Coordinates account creation, provisioning and deactivation
  • Fields and evaluates department requests for hardware and software purchases
  • Provides end user training for computer hardware and software
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and support teleconferencing equipment needs, cameras, microphones, computers etc.

Responsibilities

    • Review license agreements and contracts to ensure accurate and timely payments of invoices.
    • Enter vendor invoices into accounting systems.

    • Own the expense reimbursement process, including reconciling corporate credit card transactions.

Requirements

    • 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    • Experience with billing technologies like Unanet and Netsuite.

We are looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Fresher to join our team in providing end-user support and daily operations. As an IT Helpdesk Fresher, you will be a part of Coinhako to manage all operations that involve the development and support of information systems.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. 
  • Provide local and remote support to employees.
  • Configure IT Equipment (PCs /Laptops/Apple devices), install Windows/Office packages.
  • Follow the status of the request which has involvement from different teams and response back the final result to customer/end-user.

Who You Are:
