Ripple is seeking a highly organized and engaged individual to join our global policy team, with a focus on the APAC region
Reporting to our Head of Policy, with frequent interaction with other Senior Management in local regions, this individual will assist in outreach with regulators and central banks domestically and globally, advocating for policy changes that support continued growth and responsible innovation in the digital asset space
As an integral part of our small but agile policy function, you will work on some of the most exciting regulatory and business issues in fintech today
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Help educate regulators, central banks, and customers in the APAC region on Ripple’s solutions and the company’s role as a fintech service provider
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments in the APAC region to advise on potential impacts to Ripple’s product roadmap
 - Participate in industry working groups on matters of crypto policy
- Draft comment letters and white papers that advocate for responsible innovation and adoption of emerging payment technology
- Draft thought leadership pieces on issues related to digital asset adoption and financial policy
- Lead the development and execution of a regulatory engagement strategy supporting Ripple’s growth and presence in the APAC region and build relationships with local regulators
- Cross-functional collaboration and ownership, including working with nearly every team at Ripple
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- JD or MPP preferred, but not required
- 10+ years of relevant experience working in tech, payments, and/or crypto related fields
- The ideal candidate for this role has experience analyzing regulations and authorizing legislation as well as direct experience interacting with government officials
- Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent at collaborating with many contributors and cross-functional partners
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner (whether written or verbal)
- Organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and flexible
