Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of trading of various asset classes (FX preferred), and strong understanding of the trading/settlement lifecycle.

Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) Investigator

    • Any general administration and ancillary activities as may be required and related to the above functions in accordance with the business requirements of the Company

You are either a fully fledged DevOps practitioner or a developer who is interested in deployment and network operations.As a member of the Orchestration team, you will play a vital role in managing and enhancing Kraken's container orchestration platform, but also provide infrastructure support and advice across all the different Engineering teams and SREs. At Kraken, our culture and our people are at the core of our strategy, and the future growth and health of our company rests on our ability to attract and retain the very best talent in the industry.

Responsibilities

    • Extend and automate the existing container orchestration platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Work closely with SREs from different teams to reduce their cognitive load related to the orchestration platform.
    • Implement and maintain security best practices for the orchestration platform, ensuring the security and availability of our systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, as well as provide guidance and support to other team members.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the smooth operation of our critical systems.

Requirements

    • Strong background in Linux, Networking, and Distributed Systems.
    • Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Nomad or Kubernetes.
    • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
    • Strong security mindset and experience implementing security best practices in a complex environment.
    • Experience in cloud administration, preferably in AWS

Nice to have

    • Experience with other HashiCorp tools, such as Vault and Consul.
    • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python, Go, or Bash.

Skills you should HODL

    • Expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and mobile app development tools and frameworks
    • Deep understanding of iOS and Android SDKs, as well as experience with native development (Objective-C/Swift/Java/Kotlin)
    • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and principles
    • Experience with API design, security, and performance optimization
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and creatively
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to haves

    • Experience with blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency industry
    • Experience in leading or managing engineering teams
    • Contributions to open-source projects or published technical articles
