Responsibilities

    • Support the board with their accountability for compliance with MiFID and MAR in implementation of the annual control plan, quality checks, monitoring of regulatory KPI/KRIs.
    • Work closely with the Risk function, the MLRO and the Business to ensure appropriate design and implementation of controls. 
    • Ensure that the MTF retains its internal control checks and control levels  on an ongoing basis.
    • Monitoring of compliance alerts, drafting and follow-up of remediation plans and assurance reporting to the board.
    •  Liaising with authorities and regulators.
    • Regular board reporting. 
    • Assist the CCO with the draft of the annual compliance report for the Regulator.

Requirements

    • 5-8 years of operational experience in a compliance or internal audit function in either a MiFID Investment firm or a Regulator.
    • Operational knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation including: MiFID2/R, EMIR.
    •  Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication (English & French) and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

    • Support the overall Surveillance function covering the Americas time zones.

Requirements

    • The successful candidate should have at least 8 years of industry experience, ideally in financial services compliance, at a financial services regulator, exchange/trading venue or similar experience, with a good understanding of financial markets and trading.
    • Proven experience working in a rapidly changing and complex work environment.
    • Strong functional knowledge of trade surveillance and exception based monitoring.
    • Substantial knowledge of financial/trading regulatory frameworks.
    • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A second or third language would be a plus.

    • Knowledge of financial products (including spot trading, margin trading, futures and options) essential.
    • Experience with handling disputes for traditional financial institutions and cryptocurrency organisations is highly preferred.

As a Data Engineer, Analytics, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the data layer for our analytics stack, top to bottom. You will connect our analytics stack with the rest of our infrastructure using both streaming and batch processes. You’ll write and maintain ELTs and their orchestration in order to produce meaningful and timely insights. You’ll work closely with our BI engineers to build a system that has a sensible balance between data access and security, empowering analysts to support critical data-driven decisions across the company.

  • You’ve worked with other engineering teams to understand their data lifecycle, the right integration points and helped them integrate analytics at the design stage of projects.
