NEAR Foundation is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our globally distributed team. In this role, you will be working directly with the Head of Legal to support and own complex matters. 

You will

  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely legal advice to the organization on a variety of legal topics
  • Support legal matters and assist in bringing them to a successful conclusion, including, day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting
  • Preparation and management of contract template database and internal policies and procedures
  • Data protection compliance and HR/employment law matters
  • Monitor relevant developments in law and regulation, and provide insight to inform NF’s approach to its own policies and processes

You have

  • Qualified lawyer/solicitor in EU jurisdiction, UK, US or Singapore
  • 2+ years of work experience as in-house legal counsel to start-ups or at a reputable law firm. Experience of international/cross-border work is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of legal/regulatory issues around Web3 or interest in developing expertise in blockchains & decentralized technologies
  • Excellent project management and communication skills

Developer Relations Engineer – Korea

About The Role

We’re looking for a talented and eager Developer Relations Engineer to support the growing developer community for Aptos in Seoul, Korea.

This role will be a highly visible role in the organization and in the broader web3 ecosystem. You will not only manage our day-to-day online presence in Korea, you will also be responsible for keeping your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the broader crypto ecosystem across the region. You will help partners build development tools and platforms, establish strong relationships with the developer community and translate their needs into products that contribute to a world-class developer experience.

Program Manager, Aptos Accelerator

About The Role

We are searching for an experienced and self-driven Program Manager to execute all operations of Aptos hackathon and accelerator. As Program Manager, you are directly responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the accelerator and hackathon. This will include spending time with founders to understand and resolve challenges they face. This will allow you to have deep insight into ways to drive improvements in the overall program. You will also be driving the program design, marketing events, community building, workshop planning, mentor scheduling, administrative duties as well as creating a great experience for all participating startups. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, marketing, communications and other functions across Aptos.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design hackathon and accelerator program strategy, roadmap, performance metrics and work with cross functional team to execute.  
  • Day to day management of the hackathon and accelerator programs including regular engagement with the companies going through the program, developing program content, understanding critical needs of projects and setting objectives for how we can support those objectives
  • Work closely with accelerator projects to understand support and execution requirements that can be fulfilled by the Aptos team and then aligning internal teams with cohort needs
  • Working closely with core members of our extended network to connect the cohort with top advisors and mentors
  • Event planning – management of events in line with the Aptos ecosystem objectives such as recruitment of both talent and startups, fostering the Aptos community and helping Aptos projects secure investment rounds
  • Monitor and report on Web3 industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, and other relevant resources
  • Supporting and developing a strong culture within the accelerator

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: program management, business development, ecosystem growth

Software Engineer, Cryptography

About The Role

Our team is actively building a leading cryptography organization in order to solve complex problems involving mathematics, establishing standards and guidelines for safe use of cryptographic code, advancing the state of cryptography both within and outside Aptos. We have open roles for both junior and senior engineers, and for researchers in this space.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define cryptography principles and best practices within the Aptos blockchain and ecosystem.
  • Establish cryptographic standards by writing Aptos Improvement Protocols (AIPs).
  • Evaluate cryptographic libraries for their safety and performance.
  • Design, implement, maintain and audit cryptographic schemes, such as  signature schemes, authenticated data structures, secret sharing, distributed pseudo-random functions, and zero-knowledge proofs
  • Publish research work to top conferences
  • Contribute across the Rust Blockchain code stack, the Move framework, and many of the SDKs (e.g., Typescript, Python, Rust)
  • Work closely with engineering and partner teams.
