  • Lead the development and execution of the vendor management strategy for PST (People Success Team) and uplift the overall organization capability on vendor management.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Lead a team (remote) of 6-8 team members who are responsible for providing front-line global HR support for Coinbase candidates and employees across all aspects of the user journey (ie Onboarding through exit)
  • Drive strong team performance and engagement in a rapidly changing, fast moving, sometimes hectic environment. Top priority is developing and coaching the team.
  • Provide suggestions and support with activities that promote employee engagement, learning and development
  • Monitor and proactively manage key operational metrics (eg., response time; quality; employee experience)
  • Engage with People Operations team and stakeholders to resolve escalations 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors on implementing efficiencies, automations and integrations between processes, teams and tools
  • Support all compliance related procedures, audits, annual testing and documentation
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery
  • Thrive in a growing team and environment, taking on more responsibilities and more processes
  • Think creatively about the employee experience – find ways to improve every interaction with the People Operations team
  • Participate in HR operational projects

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 5+ years HR people management experience 
  • Ability to  manage remote teams and work across multiple time zones
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high-functioning team
  • Ability to drive scalability, reliability, quality & compliance in the processes owned by you
  • Experience in fast growth culture – comfort with ambiguity and non-stop problem solving, building, and action
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Proficient with Google apps

Product Counsel, (Crypto), CashApp

As Product Counsel, you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on product and feature development. You will report to CashApp’s Head of Product Counsel and partner with our bitcoin and crypto product teams to develop new offerings while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. As we expand our offerings, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact.

You are organized, and creative. You are curious, with a desire to understand underlying causes and motivations. You can research and master complex legal topics and communicate them to non-lawyers in brief, clear language. You have an expert understanding of a legal issue but can separate the practical from the academic and provide clear, accurate, and advice to the business team. You are good-humored, patient, respectful to your co-workers.

You Will:

  • Provide guidance to product and engineering teams on issues related to products and features throughout the entire product development lifecycle
  • Develop trusted relationships with partners and stay informed on important product developments
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements affecting your products and services
  • Draft terms of use, product policies, and product disclosures
  • Work with other support teams (tax, compliance, accounting, and outside counsel) to provide seamless support to partners
  • Cultivate creative ideas and insights into how legal frameworks can support new product developments and customer experiences

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years of combined, relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies, or in-house legal departments
  • Familiarity with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space
  • Excellent commercial negotiation and drafting skills
  • Fluency in translating legal advice into applicable guidance for creative products and collaborators
  • Work in an evolving and growing environment that is prone to changes
  • Creativity solving problems
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar
  • Experience and familiarity with bitcoin and blockchain technology
