What we’re looking for:

• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for slicing and dicing data, and an ability to think critically about how things work on the ground

• Strong quantitative, financial statement and valuation skills

• Ability to analyze and query large datasets

• Familiarity with relevant crypto tools and forums (e.g., know your way around Crypto Twitter, Dune Analytics, navigating contracts on Etherscan, etc.)

• Experience writing/reviewing smart contracts in Solidity, Rust etc and general knowledge of Javascript and Python

• Experience querying and interacting with EVM & non-EVM Based blockchainsUnderstanding of low-level idiosyncrasies of popular blockchains including Ethereum, Solana & othersFamiliar with the NFT ecosystem.

• Knowledge of building bots, setting alerts, keeping track of new listings, articles, updates, staying organized.

• Knowledge of key management, multisig wallets, custodians (e.g. Fireblocks/Anchorage/Coinbase)

• Exceptional communication abilities and work ethic

As a research analyst on our team, you will research opportunity areas, audit code of potential portfolio companies, and develop/test the ideas driving our investment thesis. We’re targeting developers that have the capability to dive deep solving a singular problem, but instead want the breadth of exposure venture investing can bring. Specifically, you will add value evaluating the technical gaps in the market, and recommend opportunities of focus for our team.

ROLE

• Drive the team’s focus by researching technical opportunities in the space: evaluating technical solutions in the market and opportunities for projects to provide a solution

• Leverage your technical expertise to establish relationships with the top entrepreneurs and builders in the space

• Write and publish reports for internal and external use

• Audit prospective projects code to help identify vulnerabilities Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field

• A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming

• At least 2 years of writing production-level Javascript, Rust or Solidity code, either personally or professionally

As an early member of the team, you will be working directly with our co-founders and partners to source, diligence, and structure investment opportunities.  You should be insanely passionate about crypto/web3/defi, comfortable with flexible and entrepreneurial work environments, and looking to rapidly accelerate your career in crypto and investing.

ROLE

• Proactively source and field new investment opportunities

• Conduct business and financial analysis, valuation, modeling, deal structuring, and due diligence support

• Generate relevant industry and market research and analysis

• Pursue fundamental research on topics relevant to the firm

• Provide high-touch support to portfolio companies post-investment

REQUIREMENTS

• Background in crypto, tech, or fintech investing with experience managing deal processes

• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for slicing and dicing data, and an ability to think critically about how things work on the ground

• Experience in VC, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Investment Management, or Consulting

• Strong quantitative, financial statement and valuation skills

• Exceptional communication abilities and work ethic

• Ability to interact across cultures and businesses

• Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain

• Strong ethical code

• High conviction around your own ideas, while remaining openminded and flexible to inputs from others

• Familiarity with relevant crypto tools and forums (e.g., know your way around Crypto Twitter, Dune Analytics, navigating contracts on Etherscan)
