We’re growing our dev team and looking for a solid Support Engineer to help evolve our architecture while improving overall quality of service. Our ideal person is someone who can provide first-rate first level technical support for our customers. If you’re a great engineer who can explain technical issues in layman’s terms and are meticulous in your documentation, we’d love to meet you. The ideal addition to our team has the drive to blast right through expectations. Bonus points if you are passionate about blockchain technologies. This position will include working with internal and external partners, the Wyre engineering team, and our external integrating customers to define and implement improvements to the company’s core products. We’re built on Java, RxJava, VoltDB (soon to be DynamoDB), AWS, ExpressJS, AngularJS.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level technical support for our API customers
• Take ownership of our API documentation
• Provide technical product support to internal teams
• Work with customers, as well as the customer support, product management, and engineering teams
• Pivot on product direction as needed
• Professionally and diplomatically address customer concerns and provide concise feedback through customer empathy
• Communicate with the ability to explain technical issues in non-engineering language
• Use analytics tools, read and interpret logs and metrics to solve technical issues
• Write and maintain API technical documentation and guides

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience
• Experience working with APIs and API-based SaaS integrations
• A good understanding of how web applications and mobile apps are built and work
• Ability to take complex topics and make them simple and digestible
• Experience working with team members in different geographic locations and timezones and with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• You will report to and assist the company on contract and legal document review, editing, and organization
• Maintain and create corporate records and provide support for Wyre’s money transmission licensing program in the U.S., licenses in other jurisdictions, and assistance on documentation for the AML compliance program where necessary
• Help prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors and service providers
• Assist with Finance and Human Resources matters where needed
• Have the flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of other legal matters

Requirements

• You need to be able to work in an extremely ambiguous industry

• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or similar legal role at a law firm or in-house, preferably at a FinTech or a Money Transmitter. 
• Experience in litigation, law enforcement response, or compliance; risk at a FinTech, and preferably a Money Transmitter.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and/or processing legal documents for a FinTech, and working with third-party vendors
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance
• Ability to address problems and think critically with minimal supervision
• Outstanding interpersonal skills 
• Experience with G Suite, slack, and excel
• You thrive in an iterative environment with short feedback loops 
• Strong preference for an interest in, and experience with, cryptocurrency, basic SQL, and the NMLS system for managing MTLs

Wyre is looking for a highly motivated, versatile, and experienced Chief Compliance Officer who will help grow the global regulatory and AML/BSA program. Your core mission will be to promote a culture of compliance awareness by enhancing global AML/KYC controls and processes, building and managing an enthusiastic global compliance team, be a critical key decision maker in a rapidly growing product and services, and staying in the forefront of all new regulations which are prudent to Wyre’s business lines.

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and requires the ability to manage and execute in a strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow the Global Compliance Team
• Implement compliance program regarding OFAC/BSA/USA PATRIOT Act obligations and state money transmitter requirements in the US, and ML and Terrorist Financing analogs in Europe, North America, and Asia
• Serve as the lead to all regulatory inquiries, including state, federal, and international. Understand evolving regulatory landscape and requirements for FinCEN, SEC, OCC, CFTC, FCA and others
• Become a dedicated resource to our business and product, with a focus on driving regulatory strategy and engagement
• Oversee the management of all compliance issues, including regulatory compliance, consumer compliance, transaction monitoring, quality control, continuing education/tracking and data privacy
• Lead risk assessments and implement compliance monitoring and testing programs.
• Prepare and present regulatory reports, annual compliance testing and remediation reports to senior management and the Board of Directors as appropriate
• Manage the engagement of third party firms, performing any policies and procedural reviews and audits Evaluate risk-mitigation vendor capabilities including establishing vendor solution performance objectives
• Develop and lead employee training sessions on internal compliance policies and regulatory compliance issues. Conduct enterprise-wide monitoring and testing programs covering identified compliance risks.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of comprehensive regulatory compliance experience
• Proven ability to lead, prioritize commitments, independently problem-solve, and manage with a team
• Strong understanding (and love) of blockchain and cryptocurrency regulation on a global scale
• Bachelor’s degree, with a law degree preferred
• Knowledge and experience in retail payments (including credit/debit cards, international remittances and mobile payments), data/privacy (GDPR), and financial services consumer protection and fraud regulations
• Background in implementing and developing global AML/KYC/KYB/CIP, fraud, payments, and banking operations compliance programs
• Experience and working knowledge of MSB licensing regulations and requirements 
• Effective verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization as well as with external partners and regulators
