About the Engineering Team

Our engineering discipline builds the technology that enables MoonPay to learn quickly and scale easily. We organize in small cross-functional squads of 4-6 engineers and an embedded Product Manager and Product Data Analyst. We currently have squads across Crypto / NFT / Payments / KYC / Core Product and others. We’re pragmatic and believe in having fluid structure, this means people can move between teams or specialize.

Squads We Are Currently Hiring For:

ASSET DELIVERY: Ensures that crypto assets are delivered to customers on time. In order to ensure this, we work with multiple exchanges, custody providers and hot wallets. We focus on building systems to manage how the crypto currency gets routed to the customers, and manage the lifecycle of the delivery. Responsible for creating delightful experiences for millions of MoonPay users to onboard, transact, and access the hundreds of web3 partners in our ecosystem through account.moonpay.com, the web equivalent to our application, and moonpay.com.

CONSUMER WEB: Responsible for creating delightful experiences for millions of MoonPay users to onboard, transact, and access the hundreds of web3 partners in our ecosystem through account.moonpay.com, the web equivalent to our application, and moonpay.com.

GROWTH: Looks after accelerating our growth efforts across our Consumer, Business, and B2B2C product offerings. You will be responsible for building features that help those product offerings – making improvements to discovery, strengthening MoonPay’s network of Businesses and Consumers, internationalizing language, and running A/B tests on key user flows. Growth engineers work in close partnership with designers, product thinkers, and customers, to impact the lives of millions of users.

PARTNER EXPERIENCE: The partner experience team looks after the onboarding and ongoing experience of B2B partners integrating the MoonPay product offerings (Crypto and NFT Checkout, Wallets and HyperMint). You will be responsible for building features for partner onboarding, integrating MoonPay into their experience, integration testing, enabling partners to customize their integration and monitor the success.

RAMPS: Responsible for our customer-facing crypto on-ramping and off-ramping web application that can be used stand-alone or be embedded by our partners. We onboard new customers, and work to provide them with the smoothest possible crypto purchasing experience – we put a lot of effort into UX and conversion optimization. The customer-journey includes features such as authentication, KYC, payment method setup and tracking the final asset delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop new and existing products and features
  • Work with Product Managers to come up with the best solutions and implementation plans for new features or changes to existing ones.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to deliver and improve customer facing features.
  • Contribute to the estimations, planning and execution of  projects, features, and integrations.
  • Integrate and work closely with external service providers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintain and improve our existing codebase.
  • Write fully tested, high quality and performant code.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive backend engineering experience at leading startups or fast growing tech companies.
  • Confidence in developing, releasing and maintaining server applications in a fast paced, iterative environment. 
  • Either experience with some of our tech stack, or are confident you can cross train and up skill quickly. 
  • A deep understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices.
  • Cloud native experience with Google Cloud or similar e.g AWS, Azure.
  • Bonus points if you make open-source contributions or have experience in web3.

As a Staff you will be expected to:

  • Mentor and coach Engineers across multiple teams. 
  • Champion the writing of high quality code and manage technical debt
  • Continuously challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities across multiple teams.
  • Be an active influence/contributor in architecture, ideation and decision making across the company

Reporting to the CFO, the role of Procurement Manager offers a rare opportunity to build out the function and make it your own at a fast growing tech start-up. This is a global role, operating from London HQ. Procurement’s role is to support MoonPay in the delivery of increased profit and growth via a well managed and sustainable supplier base.

What You’ll Do ✔️

  • Build and lead MoonPay’s procurement team, which will be responsible for developing a vendor management strategy and execution
  • Develop internal governance and quality control frameworks to ensure consistency across key stakeholders and departments.
  • Manage spend categories and cost controls, ensuring operating expenses meet or exceed budget goals
  • Own important supplier relationships and lead on negotiations to secure the best possible value for money for MoonPay across contracts (which could be Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Data Privacy or Security Exhibits or other)
  • Source new vendors and manage current vendor contract renewals
  • Proactively manage internal stakeholder engagement and communications with suppliers

FP&A Manager (Revenue)

The opportunity ✔️

You will be joining as an early leader on a growing team. In this role, you will own the revenue financial planning and reporting processes and the company’s revenue model for annual targets, rolling forecasts, and long range planning. This is a highly visible role within the organization and requires someone who is a strong leader and communicator to help develop and shape our business and financial strategy.

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning for Revenue and our topline metrics.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, drivers, and variance analysis. Continuously improving monthly forecast and variance analysis, leveraging and enhancing capabilities of existing tools and process improvements.
  • Support scaling initiatives by standardizing, reporting, and analyzing our topline data. Develop dashboards to track key performance measurements and monitor business performance. Provide management with insights into drivers of revenue, as well as risks and opportunities
  • Become a subject matter expert for all our topline metrics, with a focus towards understanding partner, geographic, and product line details, as well as our key growth drivers. Work closely with Data and Accounting to understand the different components of our revenue data and opportunities for improvement.
  • Structure, build, and maintain complex financial models and enable decision making through proactive strategic, predictive, and prescriptive insights and effective storytelling.
  • Spearhead financial process & systems improvements to support company growth. Work closely with the rest of FP&A and our Sales organization to set annual sales targets and commission plans.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development, Product and Sales to develop and maintain our long term planning model.
  • Partner with the Accounting team to ensure accounting principles and guidelines are accurately reflected in planning and forecast processes and deliverables. Develop a rich understanding of the company’s transaction volumes and related costs, with an emphasis on driving improvements to our reporting capabilities.
  • Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors, our Executive Team and our Investors.

Senior Security Operations Engineer

    • Familiarity with incident response in AWS, SaaS, MacOS, and Linux

To strengthen our growing IT team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), who is passionate about transforming technology into critical business value. This role will be focused on our data retention program within Google Workspace and will be a hybrid role that includes being hands on with configuration of retention policies. The TPM will partner with legal teams, and work closely with IT engineering teams to orchestrate the delivery of technology programs and application solutions.

  • Create overall strategy for data retention programs across IT including 18 month roadmap
  • Managing and own overall program, timelines, milestones and status update to executive stakeholders
