We are looking for an exceptional Administrative Business Partner to support two of our Product Leaders. You will enable seamless operations and serve as a critical communication link across offices and teams. You’ll anticipate the needs of both leaders and broader team members, helping the organization stay focused resolving issues before they arise.  In addition to being organized and analytical, you also have great communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.

This role is located in our San Francisco office.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage calendars, projects, logistics, and reporting for key department initiatives and manage external customer meeting coordination
  • Own all planning and management of team events including key meetings, business reviews, new hire onboarding, etc.
  • Anticipate the needs of your Executives to proactively manage day to day activities
  • Partner with your Executives to drive leadership operational cadence within organization–draft agendas for standing meetings, take meeting minutes, and manage follow ups (communication, action items, and execution)
  • Draft framework of presentations, edit & update org chargers and ensure all communications are edited and formatted
  • Interface with our Head of Comms to coordinate external press/media interviews 
  • Manage SWAG orders for internal teams and as needs for customers

About the team:

The legal team advises and supports Parity across all of the business. We are a fun hardworking team of 4 lawyers, 1 Trainee lawyer and 1 paralegal headed up by the General Counsel (Chrissy Hill). About the position:

Reporting to the Senior Employment  Legal Counsel  (based in the UK) the Employment  Legal Counsel provides proactive legal support to all areas of the business  and is responsible for the following:

  • Supporting and advising  the People Teams in Parity with all employment legal matters with a primary focus on Germany 
  • The role will be based in Germany with remote working possible and the opportunity to work from our Berlin office (where part of the legal  and people teams are based)
  • Proactively engaging  with People, Recruitment and other teams in supporting in the growth of the company as it expands internationally
  • Advising on the full range of employment legal issues both contentious and non contentious including recruitment,  diversity and inclusion, restrictive covenants, terminations, grievances, discrimination, non contingent workers, contract negotiations, settlement agreements, employee relations, Acquired Rights Directive, Whistleblowing and restructuring, human rights.
  • The focus of the role will be on supporting  the German business but willing to support more broadly in EU and other jurisdictions including Singapore
  • Reporting to the Senior Employment Legal Counsel supporting with employment legal projects collaboratively with key stakeholders e.g. review of employment contracts, business and people policies, setting up a whistleblowing helpline/process to ensure compliance with  EU Whistleblowing Directive 
  • Instructing external legal counsel as required particularly in relation to employment legal projects
  • Assisting in the management of employment litigation in support of the Senior Employment legal counsel,  instructing external legal counsel as required and liaising with internal stakeholders
  • Advising on GDPR in relation to employment matters and support with the management of Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR’s)
  • Delivering  and/or organising ad hoc training for the People teams as required including informal workshops sessions
  • Horizon scanning for changes in employment legislation in relevant jurisdictions 

About you:

  • Qualified in Germany you are 2-5 years pqe employment lawyer  preferably with some in-house experience (through a secondment, working in house or previous commercial experience)
  • You have good quality training and experience in a German or international law firm and are keen to learn and develop your  employment legal career in an international business which is expanding rapidly
  • Proactive in your approach you are commercially aware and able to provide risk-based and solution orientated advice in a fast moving environment
  • You are keen to take more responsibility in a supportive environment and develop your knowledge and experience in an international environment 
  • You enjoy and have experience of working proactively across a range of matters and projects in a fast paced and unstructured environment

Hard skills requirements

Product Manager – Investigations (EMEA)

  • You deeply understand our customers’ problems as they relate to cryptocurrency investigations and have translated these pain-points into customer facing solutions. 
  • You would have worked with developers and designers to build, develop, and execute on a product roadmap, defining and prioritizing features and requirements
  • You have set clear OKRs for the team, received  buy-in from your stakeholders and started delivering against those OKRs. You understand the controllable inputs into the team’s OKRs.
  • You have a framework for prioritization between various customer requests, GTM requirements and technical needs. 

A background like this helps: 

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, minimum 2 years of product management experience with proven results.
  • A startup mindset with a passion for building products. Have both a strategic vision, yet crafty execution-style. You will need to think big but be able to get into the weeds and quickly produce.

Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform Services

Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform-Services, will work within a highly skilled team that thrives on making the whole engineering team more effective. Responsible for the evolution of our multi-cloud infrastructure, they champion infrastructure best-practices and influence team goals and product roadmaps. Whether it’s tools to make operating code in production easier, managing foundational shared services or education on AWS, the team is guided by the question – how do we help our colleagues reduce cognitive load and get more done? They’ll work with our Developer-Productivity, Cost and Security Engineering teams to understand the goals of the larger organization and to make sure that projects are successful.

  • Provided highly available and performant engineering platform services such Kubernetes, Kafka, Jenkins and Artifactory.  
  • Hardened production systems (maintained uptime targets, graceful degradation, self-healing and automated recovery) 
  • Worked closely with Developer-Productivity to enable R&D teams to self-serve engineering platform services.
  • Brought innovative new ideas and contributed to the team roadmap.
  • Worked with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues 
  • Developed best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS).
  • Reduced the barrier for every engineer at Chainalysis to operate their code in production.
  • Established objective measures of done and documented assumptions 
  • Helped to build and follow SLAs and SLOs for our engineering platform infrastructure.
  • Enabled Chainalysis to continually increase compliance and security standards whilst minimizing the burden on engineering teams.
  • Identified infrastructure cost saving opportunities by collaborating with our Cost Optimisation team.

A background like this helps: 

  • A Deep understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3,  EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK and Lambda. 
  • Experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
  • Experience with streaming pipelines (Kafka, Spark)
  • Prior success implementing infrastructure as code including pipelines as code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) 
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Golang, Python, or shell scripting
  • Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.)
  • Experience with tuning RDBMSs (ideally PostgreSQL)
  • Experience operating in a standards compliant environment (e.g. ISO-27001, NIST 800-171, SOC 2)
