As Global Team Lead, Client Operations you will:

    • Oversee global daily operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and effectiveness across all teams
    • Drive excellent day-to-day performance across all support/operational channels, ensuring outstanding SLA and quality levels are being met
    • Partner with Team Managers to ensure KPIs are being met securely, compliantly, and efficiently
    • Coach, develop, and hire future Team Managers globally; overseeing team building and supporting hiring efforts of their direct reports
    • Help lead the rapid response team to troubleshoot and triage issues as they arise and develop plans to mitigate in the future
    • Contribute expertise on all of our offerings; this includes intimately understanding product features, lending/trading operations, and supported cryptocurrency
    • Serve as the internal advocate for our clients to our product, engineering, compliance, trading, and lending teams.
    • Help build complex, multi-product client workflows and strategies to ensure our client expectations are not only met, but exceeded
    • Adhere to and promote the firm's policies and regulatory guidelines while maintaining operational excellence
    • Ensure white glove support for our global client base through all communication channels, I.E. phone, email, chat, and video calls 
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal partner leaders across Sales, Compliance, Legal, Product, and beyond to drive strategic and measurable results

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

    • A minimum of 4 years experience leading a team that services institutional clients in a financial services startup setting 
    • Experience thoughtfully scaling a global team from 30 – 100 people
    • A strong understanding of how institutional clients (VCs, Sovereign Wealth Funds, PEs, etc.) operate
    • Expertise on traditional financial services products and strategies in order to provide thought leadership and strategic support to your peers and direct reports
    • Experience with different channels of support including chat, text, telephone, email, video conference, and beyond
    • Confidence and composure interfacing with financial investors, C-level executives, and regulators/auditors
    • A keen ability to adapt and learn quickly as business strategies evolve and new products are introduced
    • Experience executing for large initiatives and workstreams, and are always looking for process improvements along the way
    • The ability to make quick yet thoughtful decisions while minimizing risk to the firm
    • A compliance-first approach as part of your operational excellence philosophy, and will champion compliance throughout the firm
    • Salesforce experience is a plus

The Role: 

  • Lead the organization’s risk management program by developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with card scheme rules, industry best practices, and internal policies and procedures. 
  • Develop and implement fraud/risk rules and strategies to improve fraud detection accuracy with maximum automation
  • Ongoing identification and mitigation of risks related to the organization’s technology, financial operations, and compliance obligations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends, and ensure that the organization’s risk management program is in line.
  • Work with the data team to develop models, evaluate and improve performance by identifying data gaps or new variables
  • Collaborate closely with and provide Data & Engineering with business requirements that would improve risk tools and detection of emerging fraud trends
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external fraud and risk management vendors, including card acquirers, banks and card networks
  • Analyze large data sets and perform ad-hoc analysis to identify fraud trends, take action to stop fraud activity, enhance fraud rules, and improve automation
  • Your role directly impacts MoonPay’s strategic goals in ensuring risk mitigation through identification, investigation, and escalation of chargebacks, disputes, and card fraud globally, and knowing how and when to stop criminal activity whilst keeping our customers safe.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Math, Statistics or related fields
  • Background of machine learning and AI encouraged
  • 5+ years risk fraud mitigation experience in payments and/or lending with traditional and alternative payment methods
  • Deep subject matter expertise in card payments, scheme fraud rules and regulations including the chargeback and TC40 fraud handling process
  • Strong customer and product centric mindset, which they are able to combine with operations in a high risk subject matter and deliver data-driven solutions with the team

Web 3 is a new product vertical at MoonPay that was created in mid 2021.   • Lead with customer-centric approach by setting high standards for client support and customer happiness.
  • Act as an effective liaison between AZA Finance and the clients in the Transaction Journey, facilitating any queries relating to transactions.
  • Support the Sales & Account Management team by collaborating with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Payments, Product and Treasury).
  • Support and improve the customer transaction journey by providing feedback.
  • Maintain high standards and timely responses to clients by acting within defined SLAs.
  • React quickly to client queries to ensure there is a smooth client transaction process and identify any questions / problems.
  • Proactively anticipate client requirements and requests ahead of time.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date records of client transactions within all systems.
  • Adhere to the SOPs and compliance standards set internally.
  • Help identify and fix inefficiencies in current workflows and processes.
  • Display a high level of emotional intelligence and step into a leadership role when required.

Activities

  • Develop and achieve quarterly, monthly, and weekly plans with specific, measurable goals.
  • Collaborate with Account Management to complete transaction requests on time.
  • Kick off the transaction process with clients, clearly explaining the process and documentation requirements.
  • Assist clients, when necessary, with inputting of transactions on the front-end website.
  • Complete initial checks of documents submitted to ensure they meet the basic requirements set out by AZA Finance’s Compliance team.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to complete transactions by collecting required documents from clients and ensure transaction approval is completed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Payments team to check the receipt of funds and coordinate payout on behalf of the clients.
  • Ensure full completion of trades by sharing PoPs (Proof of Payments) with the client.
  • Coordinate with Product & Customer Service teams to overcome technical issues blocking clients from creating or completing transactions.
  • Post-transaction support (non-receipt of funds, tracer requests, following up on incomplete payments).
  • Ensuring timely completion of trades within defined SLAs.
  • Ambitious and passionate professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fast learner who can pick up new systems and processes quickly.
  • Ability to understand and help promote customer-centric vision at AZA.
  • Persistent and goal-oriented with a mindset to get the job done.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications (written and oral), listening skills.
  • Experience in Advanced MS Office, Google Suite Tools and CRM software
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and structure ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
