Staff Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a self-driven, proactive and curious Intermediate/Sr. Staff Accountant to take on a diverse role covering a range of responsibilities from traditional billing, receivables and monthly reconciliations to analyzing and reporting on crypto transactions. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, takes initiative and is excited about the opportunity of getting into the weeds of Web3 and navigating the complexities of crypto accounting.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Coordinate activities with external crypto accounting consultants to help maintain the crypto sub-ledger and ensure staking and other revenue streams are properly measured and recognized under US GAAP
  • Work with cross-functional teams to help investigate MoM fluctuations and validate data for the month end close
  • Monitor and investigate daily transactions occurring in multiple Figment’s crypto wallets 
  • Assist the accounting team with other month end tasks and schedules
  • Own the accounts receivable function, including billing, reconciliation and following up on outstanding payments on a regular basis
  • Provide support during financial and tax audits
  • Support ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis, as needed 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting experience and US GAAP knowledge 
  • NetSuite or similar ERP experience
  • The ability to take initiative and work with quick turnaround times & deadlines
  • Experience working with a heavy volume of data from multiple sources
  • Keen attention to detail, solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a remote fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in the crypto ecosystem
  • Familiarity with navigating Etherscan and/or other type of block explorers and crypto accounting platforms (Bitwave, Cointracker, etc) is a plus

We’re looking for a Head of Cyber Security Operations to join the cyber security team, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will collaborate with senior leaders to nurture, mature, and manage a mature cybersecurity operations team.  Disciplines reporting up to you will include: Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Insider Threat, and Trust & Safety.  This will require you to work with a wide range of corporate stakeholders to rapidly detect, manage and contain security incidents, support technology incidents by providing data from our security technology suite, and support client incidents and investigations including significant Account Take Over (ATO) events.

  • Partner with the security and product engineering teams and other cross functional teams to shape the security control and tool suite across the organization
  • CSIRT – Front line leadership over all CSIRT activities including building / evolving the team and tooling (detection and response technologies)
  • CTI – Responsible for tracking and reporting on advanced threat actors targeting Coinbase and our customers.  Work with enterprise teams to adjust product security and control suites to proactively prevent ATO and other malicious attacks.  
  • Insider Threat – Evolve and maintain our capability to identify and track potential internal threats to the enterprise 
  • Trust & Security – Evolve and maintain a team of investigators tased with supporting customers who suffer from significant loss events related to ATO or other security issues that impact retail financial customers.
  • Cyber Technology Suite – Provide input on capability and maturity requirements to meet organizational needs for cyber technologies, and inform the strategy to hire, build, or buy the right resources to meet those requirements
  • Litigation Support – Provide expertise in support of any litigation activity with cybersecurity implications or claims

Sr. Red Team Operator

About the Role

As a senior member of the Figment Security Management Red Team, you will be responsible for participating and leading the design and execution of campaign-based security testing for Figment, covering multiple types of targets. Successful applicants must be capable of evaluating environments, applications, systems, or processes to discover weaknesses, and subsequently leverage those discoveries into actionable real world attack strategies.

You will utilize knowledge of security of operating systems, networking and protocols, firewalls, databases and middleware applications, forensics, scripting, and programming to actively test, mentor and lead technical testers and effectively translate highly technical information to internal customers in a way that supports CIS and broader Figment goals. You will support fellow security and platform engineers, and application developers with remediation recommendations and validation of corrective actions.

  • Document processes, procedures, and workflows for Red Team operations.
  • Perform and lead a full scope of Red Team testing, including network penetration and web application testing, source code reviews, threat analysis, social-engineering testing, and IDS/IPS/HIDS/HIPS evasion techniques.
  • Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Work with senior leadership to define the Red Team strategy to further enhance the company’s security posture. Effectively communicate findings and strategy to client stakeholders including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel.
  • Provide risk-appropriate and pragmatic recommendations to correct vulnerabilities found.
  • Configure and safely utilize attacker tools, tactics, and procedures for Figment environments.
  • Develop scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance Figment’s red teaming processes.
  • Assist with scoping and leading exercises.
  • Drives technical oversight and mentors less experienced staff during penetration and analysis efforts.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Experience in network penetration testing and manipulation of network infrastructure including thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels.

Legal Regulatory Counsel

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercial, and astute regulatory counsel to join our legal team. As part of the legal team at Coinhako, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and on matters at the forefront of the intersection between financial technology and regulations. As such, you should be generally comfortable reviewing and advising on cutting-edge regulatory issues and providing legal counsel across Coinhako’s business and compliance teams.

Your role:

  • Provide legal support and advice on issues relating to regulatory, compliance, and product related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date on applicable laws and regulations dealing with financial services and other relevant areas, and help to drive Coinhako’s strategy in response to changing regulatory environments.
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements.
  • Liaising with various regulatory bodies.
  • Managing external counsel across various jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining and updating Coinhako’s standard form agreements, forms, T&Cs, legal policies and processes.
  • Providing support to internal stakeholders and the rest of the legal team as and when required.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a qualified legal counsel. Legal qualification in Singapore, Hong Kong, UK or other comparable common law jurisdiction will be a plus.
  • A passion for blockchain technology, fintech and digital asset trading.
  • Advanced understanding and/or experience working in a Cryptocurrency  / Blockchain / Fintech / Finance / Trading domain preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a fintech, digital asset exchange/ brokerage, blockchain related company or payments related company will be highly preferred.
  • A commercial mind that enables you to identify and distill a variety of legal issues (e.g., regulatory, contract, IP, privacy, consumer protection, risk) and clearly communicate practical risk-based solutions to the business and product teams. 
  • In addition, prior experience advising on legal matters relating to the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s regulations and guidelines, digital asset trading and payment services will be highly regarded.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and a team player.
