As an Institutional Operations Analyst / Sr Analyst, you will help with the development and ongoing support of the Coinbase Derivatives platform. Our main goal is to ensure Coinbase’s futures and options markets are operating fairly and without interruption. At the intersection of finance and technology, you will have a strong understanding of the derivatives market and how our exchange operates.   • Provide functional and technical support for all electronic trading, clearing systems, and applications.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance or a technical field with documented industry experience.
  • 1+ or 4+ years of experience working with financial markets or in a technical operations role.
  • In depth knowledge of futures, options, and digital assets.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled post-doctoral researcher or general researcher to join our team at the Ethereum Foundation. In this role, you will conduct a literature review of sybil rank-type algorithms and present your findings to the team. You will also do a Python implementation of the algorithm you think is best. If these tasks are successfully completed, there is the potential for a full-time position and the opportunity to pass the idea to an implementation team while writing a paper about it and moving on to other projects.

Product Owner – Conversion (Remote – Work from Anywhere)

Position overview

We’re looking for a Product Owner who will be responsible for setting, prioritizing, and evaluating the work generated by the cross-functional stream-aligned team (SAT) in order to ensure impeccable features and functionality in your area of accountability. In particular you will be leading the charge on our onboarding flow, optimizing for conversion and getting the right client on board with Xapo in the most seamless way possible. You will balance our own UX capabilities with the complexities of Compliance stakeholders as well as our vendor relationships. Among other responsibilities, you will gather feature requests, facilitate comprehensive requirements gathering, schedule releases and coordinate sprints.

Vision

  • Collaborate with the SAT and other stakeholders from design through execution and implementation;
  • Build a strong understanding of how Xapo members engage with and use Xapo’s products;
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of improvements to the conversion funnel of Xapo;
  • Assess opportunities, understand behaviour and test hypotheses using data analysis and discovery;
  • Facilitate conversations between key stakeholders (Business and Technology) to determine the “what” and the “how” of product features; and
  • Liaise and cooperate with internal groups as well as with external partners, from identity providers to regulatory partners, to identify new technical requirements and solutions, or to solve client issues.

Product backlog

  • Create and maintain a product backlog that drives conversion improvements and better ROI;
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development that drives optimisations;
  • Set Sprint goals, track, and report on sprint progress. Ensure the sprint delivers on the value that we want it to deliver.

Oversee and manage development stages

  • Participate  in cross-functional stream-aligned teams (SAT) as the Product Owner, effectively the CEO of the SAT;
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of  specified and refined improvements to work on;
  • Foresee and mitigate impediments to the team progress;
  • Represent and serve as the point of contact between subject matter experts and other stakeholders
  • Ensure the successful completion of Releases and Sprint Goals;
  • Plan, execute and monitor UAT; and
  • Documentation of all the improvements and features that your team introduces.

Evaluate product progress

  • Monitor the conversion funnel’s performance, proactively identify process bottlenecks and lead initiatives to resolve discrepancies or other issues when identified, track and report issues through to resolution;
  • Iterate fast, shipping multiple improvements in parallel, measuring through A/B test frameworks their isolated impact so that we can see business impact as soon as possible;
  • Recommend and execute on operational improvements, work with our operational teams to simplify the way we do business and create a better customer experience;and
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new features and capabilities. Here you will liaise with our Strategy teams as well, to ensure that any innovations get communicated properly. 

Research

  • Build knowledge on industry developments, provider landscape and regulatory changes, to become the go-to person for all things conversion related at Xapo;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging topics in software development;
  • Be aware of competitors in the FinTech industry, and what innovations they roll out in their onboarding processes;
  • Be up-to-date with best practices and new trends. 

Requirements

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 5+ years;
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field is a plus;
  • Deep experience of conversion flows or (fintech) onboarding flows;
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of A/B test frameworks and practices;
  • Expert knowledge about Web design best practices would be a plus;
  • A background in Growth would be a plus;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical systems and architecture principles;
  • Experience shipping market-leading products in a fast-growing fintech and/or payments company as (senior) Product Owner is essential;
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple  initiatives and priorities with competing timelines;

What you've done:

    • Manage key Finance process improvement initiatives and other special projects on a daily basis
    • Work collaboratively with multiple teams/workstreams (both employees and vendors, as necessary) to ensure that projects are scoped out and executed on time and on budget, in line with the company’s standards, methodologies, and control.
    • Produce clear project plans and/or roadmaps with detailed budgets and timelines, considering key dependencies across different workstreams and/or other initiatives
    • Develop business case(s) for finance initiatives, including costs as well as quantitative and qualitative benefits
    • Coordinate with external audit teams to manage expectations and help deliver audit support within the required timeframes
    • Scope and lead initiatives to optimize accounting processes for reporting and consuming data based on minimum data standard requirements
    • Create and communicate operating principles, quality, and efficiency standards in support of the organization’s needs, including automation of finance data/account reconciliations
    • Lead implementation as appropriate of tactical enhancements to Finance systems and processes

Who you are:

    • A high level of experience working in a similar or relevant role within a startup, as a consultant, or within investment banking
    • Previous experience with managing external accountants to help prepare monthly P&L and tax filings.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills when working with internal teams and external vendors
    • Excellent financial modeling and Excel skills
    • Treasury management, budgeting, investment knowledge, fundraising experience, and headcount management
    • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment with ever-changing and competing demands

Position overview

As Head of PR, you will be responsible for leading outward PR strategies and plans that promote key initiatives and promote the business/product’s image and reputation. This role will be responsible for advancing and protecting the Xapo Bank reputation by building trust and credibility amongst our industry and the general public. The Head of PR will take ownership of all PR initiatives, including ongoing and campaign-specific PR initiatives in order to deliver on our business goals, increase brand awareness, improve brand perception, and propel growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy, drive execution and meet aggressive strategic communications goals and objectives.
  • Curate and coordinate messages across various channels and forums while strengthening the Xapo Bank Brand Awareness with major media outlets and influencers in the Fintech industry.
  • Drive innovation on communications strategy beyond traditional media for both external and internal audiences.
  • Leverage relationships with appropriate media outlets and speaking engagements to successfully showcase our differentiation in the competitive landscape.
  • Provide strategic communication support to cross-functional partners on a wide range of complex topics including business performance, new product launches, new internal programs, thought leadership and company and team achievements, etc.
  • Provide direct, hands-on support to key senior leaders to develop thought leadership content opportunities.

Product Lead, Storage & Retrieval – Web3 Protocols

We are looking for a Senior Product Lead to join the PL Engineering and Research team (EngRes), helping to grow and evolve our stack of web3 protocols, including IPFS, Filecoin, libp2p, and IPLD.

Web3 is the next generation of the internet, with the goal of creating a fairer and more decentralized web. Our mission at PL EngRes is to scale & unlock new opportunities for IPFS, Filecoin + libp2p by onboarding the best developers and contributors in the world, unlocking breakthroughs in protocol utility & capability that drive large-scale adoption, and scaling network-native research & development across the PL Network. 

One of our core priorities is to understand and improve the core IPFS/Filecoin adoption flywheel. In other words, we want to make strategic investments in improving the core factors that influence organic adoption of IPFS & Filecoin, leading to increased adoption of these technologies overall. PL EngRes is actively hiring a Senior Product Lead for our EngRes team who can fully own and drive the adoption flywheel for the joint IPFS and Filecoin stack. The Senior Product Lead would lead a large and growing team of product managers, engineers, and teams in the broader Protocol Labs ecosystem to build critical components for the adoption flywheel and increase adoption of IPFS/Filecoin overall. The Senior Product Lead should be able to inspire and lead a significant technical team, think creatively about business and ecosystem development, provide guidance and feedback on technical roadmaps, and attract new contributors to the Protocol Labs stack.

As a Senior Product Lead for PL Starfleet EngRes, you will…

  • Own the adoption flywheel for the IPFS/Filecoin stack
  • Deeply understand how the flywheel works and what’s needed in order for it to turn
  • Identify components, systems, products, and programs that are needed to turn and grow the adoption flywheel
  • Work with and lead the existing product and technical teams building core flywheel components, and provide guidance on their roadmaps to ensure that these systems land and achieve their core objectives
  • Steward business development and solutions engineering teams that support large petabyte-scale storage and enterprise clients
  • Build out new teams as needed to achieve adoption objectives
  • Steward and leverage network-native development principles and mechanisms to achieve flywheel objectives, such as leaning into ecosystem bounties/grants, outsourced work, public roadmaps, open-source development principles, and more
  • Ensure that every user of the PL stack – developers, storage clients, storage providers, retrieval providers, notaries, community governance members, etc. – has an exceptional experience with the stack of protocols
