Experience desired:

• 2+ years prior experience in a technical customer-facing role
• Operationally savvy, with an ability to identify and eliminate procedural friction while continuing to build scalable processes
• Knowledge of CRM systems (Zendesk, Hubspot, etc.)

Extra points if you have:

• Familiarity with web/mobile development
• Familiarity with SQL and comfort building basic queries and modifying more complex ones (using SQL in current or previous role/s)
• Familiarity with economics, banking, financial services, capital markets, or payments businesses
• Fluency in a language other than English

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will join a dedicated and hard working Talent team focused on helping Circle scale its products while providing the best possible customer experience for our employees and candidates. • Learn then take on the challenge of our hiring process, from the top of the funnel to close; this includes sourcing, interviewing, evaluation and offer negotiation.
• Schedule interviews, create offer letters, work on highly complex visa and immigration matters and become the Greenhouse administrator expert.
• Deliver a world-class hiring experience to candidates, hiring managers and business leaders.
• Partner with business leaders to establish and manage their talent acquisition needs and deliver top talent.
• Utilize creative recruiting strategies that contribute to build an inclusive and diverse workforce.
• Work with our Legal and Finance teams as it relates to NDA’s, FP&A, hiring employees in new countries and states, etc.
• Participate in various Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives that support Circle’s long-term growth and success, such as university recruitment and internship programs.
• Partner across the Talent team to own the entire employee life cycle experience, i.e. it is just not about recruiting talent.

The project & role: 

You will partner with our co-founders and team leads to steward Status’s unique culture in a decentralised environment. Working in a team with two people (one HR coordinator and one recruiter), you’ll oversee all people aspects of Status, acting as a trusted resource to all our core contributors.

We’re looking for someone who has thrived in tech startups, is passionate about delivering excellent internal customer service, understands remote work and web3 culture, and is not afraid to jump into a variety of projects that help drive the organization forward (HR and non-HR) across all of Status.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and give input to Status’s organizational strategy setting processes for effective goal setting, tracking, and alignment
• Manage the entire recruiting process, acting as a business partner to team leads
• Oversee internal communications initiatives, such as newsletters and Town Halls
• Refine our end-to-end approach to values, people development, reward, and experience
• Lead and iterate on performance review and feedback processes
• Oversee annual Offsite and other events to bring together the distributed team 
• Resolve sensitive people matters with the utmost integrity, discretion, and thoughtfulness
• Respond to a wide variety of challenges and support requests that fall to the People team to resolve on a day-to-day basis
• Provide 1:1 support, coaching, and guidance to all core contributors.

Compensation:

Hiring process:

The hiring process for this role will be:

1. Initial exploratory conversation with a recruiter (30 mins)
2. Interview with Ceri, our outgoing Head of People Ops (60 mins)
3. Interview with Terry, People Ops team coordinator (30 mins)
4. Interview with Pepper, People Ops team recruiter (30 mins)
5. Interview with Carl, our co-founder (30 mins)
6. A small, paid, trial project to mutually assess if there’s a good fit working together.

The steps may change along the way if we see it makes sense to adapt the interview stages, so please consider the above as a guideline. We’re looking for the new Head of People Ops (you?) to join the team as soon as possible, and we’re hoping to close the hiring process ideally by the end of September 2020.
