We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer – Web3 to join our growing team at Finixio. You will be designing pixel perfect user interfaces including layout, composition, typography, website architecture and design with a strong focus on improving user experiences for our products.

This role will be reporting directly to the Head of Design

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years expertise in all areas of consumer SaaS (UI, UX, content UX, end design) especially in Web3/Crypto/Gaming.
  • Have expert knowledge in Figma. Managing multi-site Design System, component libraries, style guides etc.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain – Been in crypto for over 2 years out of personal curiosity and interest,
  • Strong portfolio showing a user-centred design approach.
  • You’ve conducted design sprints and driven towards carefully crafted MVP Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to form strong relationships across teams.
  • Previous experience working in marketing or affiliate marketing (useful not essential)
  • To work UK hours

Team and Responsibilities

We’re creating a general-purpose private smart contract layer for Ethereum, affectionately dubbed ‘Aztec 3’.

We utilise bleeding-edge cryptography in our tech stack to realise private transactions on a public blockchain network, particularly in the realm of zero-knowledge cryptography.

As a result we possess a world-class R&D team that has co-authored the Plonk and Plookup ZK-SNARK protocols. Plonk in particular is rapidly becoming an industry standard ZK-SNARK technology.

We are looking for experienced cryptographers to expand our R&D team and allow us to further enhance the state-of-the-art when it comes to generating proofs of private computation.

Role focus

  • Research techniques to improve both the constant and asymptotic performance of our cryptographic protocols
  • Perform literature reviews to identify new developments that could improve the Prover/Verifier efficiency of our cryptographic protocols (or replace them entirely)
  • Develop security proofs for our ZK-SNARK circuit architectures
  • Liaise with our applied cryptographers to assist them with implementing our cryptographic protocols in software

Required experience

  • PhD-level qualification in cryptography or a related field
  • 4+ combined years of experience in post-PhD cryptographic research in academia and/or industry

Software Engineer (Noir Tooling)

The Role:

  • You have strong empathy and understanding of where pain points are during the development process

  • First 90 days: work with the tooling and language team to deliver a stable version of the Noir language and tooling around it. Work with the Aztec Contracts team to optimize their development experience.
  • First year: Develop more advanced tools for Noir Language and Aztec Network. Develop testing frameworks so it’s easy to integrate Noir with other frameworks, Develop Language Servers and plugins to optimize Noir Developer experience in an IDE, Develop tools to help Debug Noir programs (eg. step debugger), Develop “reverse engineering” tools to help with program optimisation.

Overview:

The “Strategic Initiatives” team at Solana Labs is dedicated to expanding Solana’s footprint by finding innovative solutions to some of the toughest problems. We explore ideas across multiple industries, including Games, DeFi, Payments, and Commerce. We are looking for a talented and driven Principal/Staff level Software Engineer who is passionate about taking products from 0 to Production. As a Staff level Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting new product initiatives, build user interfaces, develop Web3 APIs and SDKs, create client infrastructure and data pipelines, and work across the stack. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and the engineering team to bring new products to market. Responsibilities:

As a Principal/Staff Engineer at Solana Labs, you’ll work in a very small team helping to build out a greenfield project. You’ll be responsible for major architectural decisions, deeply understanding the product requirements, interpreting user feedback, and assisting the design and product members of the team in developing solutions.

You will:

  • Design, plan, and implement new APIs and SDKs
  • Observe and scale production backends
  • Work and integrate with web3 solutions providers in the Solana ecosystem
  • Contribute to the technical direction of projects at Solana Labs while aligning with the team’s overall strategy
  • Improve and maintain the software that your team produces

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience working in backend codebases
  • 7+ years experience working with Typescript/Javascript, NodeJS
  • 7+ years of experience working with databases. Postgres knowledge is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interest in web3 and Blockchain technology
  • Experience delivering large greenfield/0-to-1 projects
  • A passion for product with an interest in helping shape product vision
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across the product engineering stack.
  • Highly autonomous, ability to design and develop software with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal communications.

The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined throughout the interview process and can vary depending on experiences, skills, and location. Candidates should anticipate an annual base salary (not including incentive compensation or other benefits) of $USD140,000 – $240,000 for full time employees.
