Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Overview

The goal of a DevSecOps Engineer is to proactively identify and help mitigate technical risk in all software pipelines within BitMEX. They will achieve this through a strong partnership with DevOps, with a combination of security gate implementation & management, security control administration and overall reporting while working closely with DevOps, alongside the Detection & Response, AppSec and Infrastructure Security teams.

Responsibilities

Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Architects to contribute to the roadmaps of CI/CD Pipeline
  • Implement security controls, best practices and configuration management 
  • Hands-on contributor and code reviewer on DevSecOps related projects
  • Employ infrastructure as code paradigm to increase automation, scalability, and reliability
  • Perform technology watch related to industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art principles, theories, and practices around all things software-related. Identifies and recommends long-term technologies of relevant company interest and proposes long-term development strategy on cutting-edge trends and developments in area of expertise.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of security industry experience, with minimum 2 years in a DevSecOps role.
  • Experience building tools for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems. Familiarity with DevSecOps principles for integrating security solutions in products like Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD.
  • Proven experience and understanding of security principles across infrastructure platforms, data layers, integration points, and application layers.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and developing security solutions during the secure software development lifecycle program or secure lifecycle improvement efforts and managing large scale projects to completion.
  • Adapt to evolving security and business priorities quickly and effectively. Loves new technological challenges and excels at solving them.
  • Modern infrastructure and application development experience using public cloud primitives. You should be familiar with kubernetes, serverless architecture and infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes DNS how it interacts with external DNS servers.
  • End to end troubleshooting experience.

Good to have

  • Common security certifications such as GSEC, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, or CCSK.
  • Good understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Technical understanding of management implementations for identity like MFA, 2SV, SAML, OAuth.

Senior Product Structurer

Overview

The BitMEX Product team manages the full product range on the BitMEX platform.  This includes responsibilities for maintaining the existing range of products, optimising the existing product mix through data driven decisions and designing and rolling out new products aimed at increasing and diversifying our client base and revenues.  

The successful candidate has deep roots in crypto through past employment or personal trading and will help to oversee the Delta One product suite, monitoring liquidity and revenue and will also act as the structuring representative on some of the team’s longer term projects.  In particular, they will work closely with the Technology and Sales teams to deliver a future product suite that will meet client demands and grow revenues.

The position will also work with the Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Communications teams to prepare and roll out product launches. 

Responsibilities

  • Product roll-outs – 
    • Coordinate work between relevant departments for product launches and changes to existing product suite.
    • Ensure that project delivery is carried out according to the defined scope,plan and timeline.
    • Carry out appropriate tracking and monitoring throughout the implementation and post successful completion.
    • Regular status reporting for review at senior level.

Think outside the box, products might not need to conform to existing constraints.  Prepare product launch justification for consideration by Exco and manage product development.  
  • Identify areas of change to existing product suite and evaluate financial and operational impact of proposed changes for consideration by Exco.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Customer Support to develop new opportunities and provide required product information and education for clients.
  • Work with the engineering team on the design and testing of portfolio margining.

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years experience working in financial markets derivatives and crypto.
  • Ability to innovate, refine and coordinate the execution of transactions.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Data science experience is a plus. 
  • Driven individual with a passion for crypto.

Overview

The primary objective of a Principal Detection & Response Engineer is to protect BitMEX from external and internal threats. Your Role

As a Digital Editor in our marketing and communications function, you will be responsible for managing the creation and dissemination of high quality content, created for traders and other key stakeholders across our channels and content streams. 

You will have experience in developing and executing multifaceted content strategies with successful, measurable results.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Content development: Creation of content for various channels (blog, website, social media, animations and long form video content) that follows the BitMEX style guide, and speaks to not just to traders, but other key stakeholders (media, regulators and more). 
  • Content collaboration: Work with graphic designer and other agency partners on assets needed for simple updates and larger, more in depth campaigns, across various formats. 
  • Content publishing and liaison: Coordinate the publishing of content on various channels, often in accordance with product and platform teams as initiatives roll live.

As the Operations Manager for Compliance at Coinbase, you’ll lead the charge in combating money laundering and ensuring that we meet our mission to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone. You’ll be the driving force behind our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations, leading a team of passionate professionals who are just as dedicated to making a difference as you are. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • You will execute the strategic vision for Compliance by scaling operational performance, which includes the execution of operational OKRs, KPIs and initiatives.
  • In partnership with Compliance, Legal, Program Management, and other operational support partners (i.e. Workforce Management, Vendor Management, Analytics, Quality Assurance, etc.) you will create and scale operational mechanisms to manage productivity, improve quality, and contribute to best-in-class compliance operations.
  • You are responsible for the development of standard work and will utilize your Compliance background and team of Compliance professionals to collect feedback and drive upstream improvements to user guides, procedures, and policy.
  • Utilize an in-depth understanding of metrics, reporting, capacity planning and financials to make informed data-driven decisions.
  • Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly vendor business reviews to instill customer focus and operational excellence culture across all tiers of support.
  • Thoughtfully delegate tactical responsibilities and set performance expectations across the organization.
  • Hire, lead and develop a diverse, high performing team, setting up the organization for success through investments in career growth.

What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

  • Motivated by Coinbase’s mission
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven KYC/AML experience in financial services or technology organizations leading large teams (100-500+) across multiple countries and regions.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with global outsourcing providers and senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk management practices for financial services.
  • Hands-on involvement in developing and producing metrics and reporting.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • A BA/BS degree in business, finance, and other related fields.

Nice to haves:

  • Advanced degree in business, finance, and other related fields.
  • Experience with and/or keen interest in cryptocurrency.
  • Experience working across multiple AML systems and programs simultaneously (e.g., experience in combinations of KYC, AML, and Sanctions).
  • Experience with or previous exposure to financial services regulators.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CISA, and CICA).
  • Deep understanding of Google apps, JIRA, Salesforce Service Cloud.

Pay Transparency Notice:  Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $144,500 to $170,000 + target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
