Protocol Specialist

The Role

As the first protocol specialist at Alchemy, you’ll be responsible for digging into core layer-1 and layer-2 protocols to provide insights and advice that can be leveraged by the broader team and on occasion by the broader community. This includes researching EIPs, understanding various scaling solutions, participating in on-chain governance, reporting on critical vulnerabilities, and much much more.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and publish ecosystem reports including quarterly analyses, ecosystem deep dives, and sharing research notes internally with the broader Alchemy team
  • Be an authority on protocol related matters across technical, macro-economical, community-related, or otherwise
  • Participate in governance on behalf of Alchemy on proposals in our partner ecosystems
  • Preemptively research changes in the ecosystem including EIPs, hardforks, and node client upgrades
  • Assist the marketing, customer success, and community relation teams in communicating difficult concepts on behalf on Alchemy
  • Maintain strong relationships with foundations, protocol developers, and key contributors
  • Be an active community member on Twitter, Discord, Telegram and forums as a representative of Alchemy

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of working in a technical, quantitive, or analytical capacity
  • Demonstrated deep passion for blockchain technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write for quarterly reports, blog posts, social media posts, press releases, joint partnerships announcements, and more
  • The ability to write basic scripts or code snippits to interact with web3 protocols

Fund Associate (Technical Research)

The Role

As a Research Engineer, you’ll be focused on performing in-depth technical overviews regarding investments and new products. The role will focus on 3 pillars:

  1. Technical Analysis & Investment Research: Conduct rigorous technical analysis and assessments of potential investment opportunities within the web3 ecosystem, providing essential data and insight to inform investment decisions.
  2. Product Research & Development: Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams within our portfolio companies to assist in the design and implementation of Alchemy products within their business.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical and Whitepaper Analysis: Conduct in-depth technical assessments of potential investment opportunities and current portfolio companies to assist in investment due diligence.
  • Research Content: Produce in-depth quantitative market research and content that will live and be redistributed through our various content channels.
  • Portfolio Engineering: Assist our portfolio companies in integrating Alchemy products throughout their tech stack, from first principle systems designs perspectives.
  • Open Source Contribution: Contribute to leading open source GitHub repositories, focusing on creating public goods for the greater web3 community.
  • Product Overviews: Provide the rest of the team with technical overviews of emerging products and protocols, down to the cryptography or mathematics behind the product.
  • New Product Development: Help prototype and implement new products for Alchemy based off the synthesis of technical due diligence and research implementation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-4 years as a researcher or engineer within the web3 space.
  • Experience in writing and deploying highly complicated Solidity contracts.
  • Ability to understand highly technical concepts and distill them down to easily understandable content for the rest of the team and our greater audience.
  • Experience in protocol or systems designs for high velocity web3 startups or protocols.
  • Has been following the space closely to understand the relevant narratives and trends that are going to create 80% of the impact within the ecosystem

Customer Experience Advocate

The Role

The Developer Community Manager is the first point of engagement for the entire Alchemy community in our most critical channels — Discord and online community platforms like Twitter. You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground learning about customer needs to inform our product roadmap, working closely with the Developer Relations team and other parts of the company to ensure our product continues to meet our customers needs, and making certain the developer voice is represented inside the company.
 
You will ensure prompt and effective resolution of questions, problems, and requests. In a nutshell, this role is perfect for someone with a technical background who understands the needs of developers, wants to foster and engaged and mutually helpful community, and wants to learn multiple sides of Alchemy’s business. The majority of the time will be spent meeting and talking with customers, helping them solve their needs, debug technical issues, and sharing insights with colleagues across the business.

  • Provide hands-on technical support in Discord, Twitter, StackOverflow, Reddit and more.

Security Engineer (Detection and Response)

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Alchemy’s Detection and Response strategy
  • Build tooling to enable intelligence signal gathering, processing and analysis at scale
  • Research attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and craft detections to quickly identify and contain potential security threats
  • Respond to security events, triage, perform investigations, incident analysis, and communicate clearly and efficiently to partners
  • Participate in an on-call rotation responsible for incident response

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-5 years of experience in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or related domains
  • Deep expertise in security monitoring, log analysis, and detection building using diverse datasets

Security Engineer (Application)

The Role

As an application security engineer at Alchemy, you’ll be hardening one of the most sophisticated and high-throughput distributed systems in the blockchain world. You’ll focus on designing, building, and deploying application security tools to protect our platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate dynamic application security testing (DAST) and static application security testing (SAST) into our CI/CD pipeline
  • Discover, prioritize, and remediate technical risks on features, products, infrastructure, and acquisitions
  • Develop and own best practices for application security, development, and deployment
  • Identify, triage, and mitigate vulnerabilities in our vulnerability management program.
  • Advocate security through partnering with and training other engineers, PMs, and others.

  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in software engineering, ideally specializing in security or operations

Assistant to Founders

The Personal Assistant position is a high-exposure role — you will be interacting with our, advisors, and our family and friends (both at Alchemy and outside of work)! Your day-to-day will consist of working closely with us to manage all aspects of our personal lives. You’ll become intimately familiar with what it means to be a founder of a high-growth technology startup. Responsibility and ownership are unbounded – planning complex projects, managing day-to-day, hosting large weekend retreats – infinite room for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Help achieve optimal health: We lead extremely busy lives, but also understand that our health is super important for us to give our best to Alchemy. This person will help research, plan, coordinate and outsource solutions for us to achieve our health, sleep, nutrition and fitness goals. 
    • Include tasks such as: managing medical appointments, hiring and coordinate with personal trainers and cooks, and ensuring the pantry is stocked with healthy options.
  • Household Management: Developing and automating daily household tasks for us, and overseeing all projects in our respective homes. 
    • Includes tasks such as: supervising and managing household staff (cleaners, cooks, maintenance personnel, and laundry services), and being at the home to  oversee deliveries and maintenance work.
  • Entertaining: We love to host events with their close friends, investors, and celebrities that we’ve been fortunate to meet through our journey at Alchemy. This person will partner closely with us to plan, organize and create a regular system to celebrate special occasions for the people we care about most.
    • Includes tasks such as: assisting and organizing dinners, hosting events, and selecting personal gifts for family and friends of Alchemy on our behalf.
  • Travel: This person will also be a whiz at coordinating personal travel for us and our families; including planning itineraries, shopping and packing for trips.
  • Financial Management: This person will also help oversee the system that will allow our financial matters to be well-organized and in order; including working with financial planners, bill payments and tracking personal expenses.
  • General Assistance: While we expect this person to be an amazing project manager and should be able to oversee the systems and people that will help to make our life run smoothly – they should be open to rolling up their sleeves to run errands and complete various tasks to make sure the job gets done! 💪

Content Marketer

The Role

As the first full-time content marketer at Alchemy, you’ll be responsible for designing content marketing strategies to help establish Alchemy as the leading blockchain developer platform. Ultimately, this content will be used to push awareness of Alchemy and communicate the value propositions of our product. You’ll work cross-functionally with our world-class product, engineering, design, and sales teams to drive the launch and adoption of products that serve millions of users globally today.
 
The ideal candidate brings experience in creating content for high growth start-ups and has some interest in crypto. Additionally, this person shows a combination of strategic thinking, attention to detail, and project management skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and spearhead content marketing strategies 
  • Write and oversee the creation of long-form educational content and Twitter threads
  • QC and advise XFN teams to create blog announcements and technical docs optimized for SEO
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to produce high quality visual content
  • Write press releases on partnership announcements, customer spotlights, and product releases
  • Interview partners and customers to produce engaging case-study content
  • Work with Alchemy engineers to produce high-intent, technical content on web3 topics
