As a Product Manager for Fraud, you will join the Product Department andyou will be one of the leaders of Bitstamp’s efforts to prevent fraud on our platform. You’ll be helping to build the products and features that help us detect bad actors that try to onboard and transact fraudulently. You’ll work closely with our engineering, operations, data to define, design and roll out fraud mitigation strategies that balance effective controls with user experience.

You’ll be working with an international group of like-minded people who are passionate about driving growth and development of the company and its people.

What you’ll do

  • Define a product vision and strategy for eliminating fraud, and systematically building towards this.
  • Set, communicate and justify a roadmap that balances short term needs with building towards your vision.
  • Understand how fraud occurs on our platform, define areas of strength and weakness in our current approach, and identify relevant KPIs and metrics for which to track progress.
  • Stay on top of new product lines and updates, ensuring our fraud strategy is represented in the design and roll out.
  • Collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders to define, design, release and measure fraud products – from engineering to data to operations to security to finance.

On day one you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, with direct experience in a fraud or risk facing role.
  • Excellent data analytics skills – exposure to machine learning a major plus.
  • You are on top of the latest trends, challenges and solutions in fraud and can demonstrate an adaptable and fast moving approach to tackling emerging fraud.
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex, ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholder departments across all levels, presenting trade offs and framing decisions – backed up by strong research and analytics.

Job Requirement 

  • A passion for helping and educating users

Senior Backend Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build end-to-end data infrastructure to support ML products

Member of Legal Team, Data Privacy

    • Apply your BSA/AML audit/compliance/testing knowledge from a financial institution to a crypto trust bank and to meet the requirements and spirit of the FFIEC BSA/AML Examination Manual
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine audit scope, identify risks and control gaps, and develop mitigating management action plans
    • Draft and present audit reports and results to the respective business stakeholders, senior management, and the Audit Committee
    • Track audit findings and perform validation work for finding closure
    • Perform validation work for closure of regulatory findings, where applicable
    • Develop collaborative relationship with the stakeholders and provide best practice guidance and be a trusted control adviser to the business to help the firm build a safe and sound control environment
    • Assist in preparing reporting metrics for the senior management and Audit Committee

    • Solid experience in executing internal audits in relation to BSA/AML and OFAC compliance without much supervision or guidance
    • BSA/AML audit or compliance assurance/testing experience in a financial institution
    • The ability to apply your banking experience to the crypto industry
    • You think you can build good relationship with the team
    • Critical thinking and a strong sense to identify risks
    • The ability to articulate clearly audit findings and risk impact to the business stakeholders
    • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and presentation skills
    • Characteristics of being detail-oriented, hardworking, trustworthy, like to work in a dynamic environment, have good judgment, and be able to motivate others

Responsibilities:

    • Write and drive high-quality open-source code examples that enable developers to understand and build on the platform
    • Engage with Web3/Web2 technical communities in APAC
    • Work with the Developer Education team to turn code examples into videos or article-based content for developers building on Polygon.

Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or developer advocacy
    • Deliver high-quality code samples that engage developers in multiple languages and frameworks
    • Engagement and communication with developer platforms or open source communities on GitHub, StackOverflow, Reddit, Twitter, and more

Preferred Qualifications

    • Great communication and technical writing skills
    • Understanding of Crypto & the Blockchain Platforms
    • Ability to define goals, measure results, and communicate the impact
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
