Interested in helping us change the world of payments forever? The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) is looking for a talented, experienced, and hands-on engineer to join our team. In this role you’ll be designing, building, and implementing changes to Stellar Core – the primary distributed system that is used for maintaining Stellar’s ledger and obtaining global consensus.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of problems focused on growing and scaling our global network. This includes designing and implementing features that increase the performance of the network (peer to peer networking and processing performance), decentralization (resilience to nodes failing or coordinating to attack the network) as well as proper incentive mechanics for network participants.

You’ll be playing with formal models and verification (consensus), simulation (confirm emergent properties) in addition to typical scalability problems (distributed and multi-core).

In this role, you will:

  • Design and build key components of Stellar Core – the backbone software behind the Stellar Network.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies that empower our developers and network participants.
  • Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems, working alongside our CTO, our team of engineers, and our community of open source developers.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with an emphasis on edge case analysis and future-proofing our work.
  • Own core subsystems of Stellar Core, and help the team hit critical product milestones.
  • Collaborate with the team on code review and design, and contribute to best practices for all of engineering at SDF.
  • Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks in order to continue scaling the system.

Qualifications:

Marketing Analytics Manager

SDF is looking for a marketing analytics manager who obsesses themselves with optimization. In this role, you will seek to eke out incremental gains across all digital channels to maximize creative performance and shape content strategy. You will be expected to have an in-depth understanding of paid media, email/lifecycle marketing, SEO and web analytics with hands-on experience implementing high impact initiatives on these mediums. You will regularly disseminate performance on content and campaigns with a regular cadence of reporting with actionable insights that will either be executed by themselves or delegated to teams that can implement. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Evaluate and implement improvements on digital strategy
  • Monitor keyword ranking/position. Optimize SEO with on-page content and drive increases in organic traffic
  • Provide recommendations to Editorial/Comms teams on content that would align with SEO initiatives
  • Create integrated and cost-effective digital strategies by regularly reviewing the media spend and performance of each campaign. Provide recommendations of budget/channel/creative shifts

We’re looking for an organized and collaborative Creative Traffic Manager with 3+ years of experience managing competing tasks and workflows, and working with people in a cross-functional capacity. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment, has a solid grasp of creative workflows, and wants to be an integral part of keeping a creative team of designers organized and on track.

In this role, you will: 

  • Intake and review all creative briefs from the creative team to ensure they are in line with project goals (need to have a strong comprehension of marketing, creative workflow, and lingo)

SDF is looking for a talented, experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be designing, building, and implementing the tools and services that empower Stellar’s workforce. By working with our teams, you’ll be working on projects for the organization to deliver secure products to developers around the world.

The IT team has the goals of making the technology that SDF uses as effective and frictionless as possible while also optimizing the performance of our corporate technology stack. We do that by promoting sustainable and repeatable processes, securing data wherever it lives, and delivering self-service solutions whenever possible.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the rest of IT to manage inbound requests and incidents, and resolve them within our SLAs.
  • Provide customer service in-person, in our ticketing system, and over chat. Providing the skills for our employees to use our corporate tools and become IT advocates.

Responsibilities:

  • Explore the blockchain ecosystem to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Optimize the economic efficiency of validation processes through research, modeling, and business process enhancement
  • Configure data platform tools for data loading, processing, and transformation.
  • Define data requirements for the data engineering team, determining granularity, frequency, and data quality.
  • Manage your team’s data marts and establish data lineage from sources to reporting.
  • Create informative dashboards for the team, company, and community.
  • Participate in your team’s company-level reporting, such as demo days & others

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques.
  • Strong managerial skills, leading teams of 5+ people.
  • Data research skills, including probability theory and mathematical statistics, and the ability to work with models like regressions and A/B tests.
  • Data storytelling skills and the ability to form and defend opinions with data beyond reasonable doubt.
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL, including different joins and window expressions (utilizing Google BigQuery).
  • Competence with the analytical Python stack.
  • Familiarity with ETL instruments such as Airflow and DBT.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Fluent in English.
